- It seems like it is all to do with money. The longer a dog is in kennels the more it costs! I really hope that Tess is reunited with her family tomorrow. All paws crossed..

- Totally unacceptable - poor Tess and poor owner. I presume she’s been taken to Woodlands Kennels at Chevening (near Sevenoaks) & so only around 30 minutes away from Penge. So worrying for an oldie who’s never been away from her owner. Hoping that SDK can come up with some staff for tomorrow so that Tess can be reunited without any further delay. I’m sure the London Borough of Bromley can afford the cost (the largest London Borough) as they don’t seem to be spending it on much round here! Fingers crossed...

- Been quite involved with this one advising on PM to Lisa, Tess did have a tag on the other week but it broke so the owner will of course get another tag for her, especially now this has happened but I'm sorry I'm not that happy with our system at all, as owner was told originally they should be able to have Tess back today, now being told maybe tomorrow or even Monday, I really think our system should change and it should be 7 days a week, not just 5 days with less staff on weekends. Tess is 13 years old and has not been away from her owner before so this is a very distressing situation for both owner and poor Tess :(

- PS..thanks GillyP who religously posts all found dogs from SDK on Doglost...where most matches are made.

- Its £140 already...but said to owner better to know she is safe..and owner agreed...as owner was walking her other dog in windy conditions..ie bad signal....it could feasibly mean they cannot deliver back? Lets keep an open mind on this please...Also please understand That collar and tags would prevent this situation.....and out of hour collections have to be paid for by local councils....
- 2017-10-21 17:43 Mary
- Owner please get Tessa microchipped and put a tag with you name and contact details, so she can be returned more easily if it happens again.

- Or is that a ploy to extract more money from owners? Sorry for being such a cynic....

- Really pleased the found dog is Tessa at least owners know she is safe but such a shame cannot be collected as not enough staff at SDK. J. x

- We have made a report at Battersea for Tessa but no news yet. We will contact owner if he is brought in or reported to us.

- Rose - Is Tessa familiar with the area and could she make her own way home? If she could make sure she can get back into the garden and leave something for her to settle with. She may also make her way back to where last seen or where you parked your car if you drove there, so leave something with yours or her scent on there too. Make a report with Battersea and check with local warden, local vets etc. Get lots of posters up in the area to help get sightings. I do hope Tessa is found very soon.
