Still thinking of you and Ruby. Its never over until you find her. Keep strong. You owe it to her, and to your peace of mind for years to come. Praying hard for a happy ending. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sad to say Stonehaven isn't a haunt of mine so not familiar with it. I googled Catterline and coudn't tell how high the cliffs are from the satellite picture. What a sad end if it was what happened. Boxers are rather bouncy dogs and could've easily lost her footing but I would've have thought they'd be put off with the roar of the waves. Poor Ruby and best wishes to her owner. Since joining Doglost I hold on to my own two that little bit tighter.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with the travellers thought train, but after talking to the owners, the other theory seems more likely in the circumstances she went missing. There are often travellers down in that Stonehaven area, and I have a theory that another dog missing (Rollo) may have been taken in that way. He was spotted in the area several times and then just disappeared into thin air.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have DAWGS, Mrs Murray and Dog Warden and Police been notified? She is such a beautiful dog. There are a lot of Travellers up here and she could have been picked up by them, I say this coz I'm trying not to think about the cliffs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to the owner and there has been no news of Ruby. The situation in which she went missing indicates that she MAY have gone over the cliffs and into the sea. God bless you Ruby wherever you are. xx There is always hope naturally, but so far there have been sightings at all. The not knowing is the worst feeling on earth. Best wishes to the owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was talking to a man picking up the rubbish outside a supermarket in Ellon about 6 weeks ago and he said an old lady next door to him at Stoneywood area had her pomeranian stolen from her garden. I spoke to him again yesterday and it has never been found so it looks like dog stealing is happening up here on a smaller scale. God help us. Poor old lady is brokenhearted.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Honey is doing well has an upset tummy but coming along. Im emailing as i tried to register as a helper but its not letting me in, i will try again tomorrow. When looking for Honey i had a few sightings that may or may not have been her in the area. I thought they may be of interest as they may have been the other lost dogs in the area. There was a sighting beside the hospital (Kirkton Road onto Broomhill Road) in Stonehaven of a dog with a red collar it was described as black but they were not sure and a little vague. Thought owners of the boxer might be interested, the dog warden went out for a look though and didnt come up with anything. On Friday i went into town and gave out about 20 posters to taxi drivers as they go out and about. Once called and said they saw a Beagle with a lead going down George Street, he said there was a man a little ahead of it but it didnt look like they were together at all. I thought Carlys mum might be interested. Ill keep looking on the site, i have a couple of people interested in helping out if you need my assistance just call. ..e mail from reunited Honey's owner. I really hope and pray dog stealing is not working it's way up here to Scotland as we have been quite lucky on that score so far, but I have had reports of some suspicious incidents lately - men driving around people's country residences for no real reason. It is worrying.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
