- House cats will usually feel very anxious when out of their comfort zone which is indoors with people they trust; their owners. When checking outbuildings make sure he isn`t hiding behind a =n object within. Cats are excellent at keeping very still,m and quiet especially if timid. A door he has access too, open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block his entrance) Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the door. And rattle some Dreamies. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, oi hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. When darkness falls, and you are searching use a strong torch as it will reflect a cats eyes. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Also when loking use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize the scent. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Paws xd.
