- I certainly would not have settled for nothing that was second best for Bridie as she has been through enough! I found her a fantastic family who have two dogs and live in Kent thanks to a close friend. We met them 7 weeks ago already for first introduction. Dropped her today and after 4 hours together she was well settled in her forever home. Be happy and stay safe
Bridie I will visit you in a few months with Bella X - 2018-02-22 10:30 Elle

- Thanks to the fantastic cooperation and support of the DogLost team we have located Bridie and are in touch with Monica. Thanks to everyone who has helped us with this lovely girl. She is going to a wonderful forever home on Friday 23rd February. She can now be marked as "found".

- Quite right. CJ will be in touch with both parties shortly and see if something can be sorted out....In the mean time lets leave this to CJ. Thank you.

- I don't think this is an appropriate place for people to air their views on Bridie's situation. We want Bridie to be returned to our care because we don't feel her best interests are being served and we are entitled to make that decision. Only the rescue know her full story. She is marked as lost because until we have her back, she is to all intents and purposes missing.
- 2018-02-06 07:29 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Monica and Gillian have been in touch and we will be mediating. >>So best not to continue these posts at themonent and hopefully a solution can be agreed.

- I don't feel the rescue have Bridie's best interests at heart here at all. I'm really surprised to hear of a rescue bringing a dog into this country having not been spayed!! Bridie is an extremely nervous dog with new people and in built up areas and Monica has worked wonders with her. It sounds to me that the rescue just want to get her back to ship her out to any home that will have her for another adoption fee. I am disgusted they are resulting to police and threatening court action. Please can Bridie's best interests be put first and allow her to be rehomed from Monica's home directly as she is the closest to Monica and truly bonded with her. Taking her away to put in kennels or a temp foster home would be tragic for this sweet girl. Please if you care do right by Bridie, she is a special girl and will thrive in the right home without young kids and in a quiet area. She doesn't needs to be pushed from pillar to post.

- Gillian knows where Bridie is, she has had conversations with Monica including by phone, I have messaged Gillian myself in December to ask her to make a decision on what she can do for Bridie, how soon she can offer transport, 6-8 weeks was the answer. Clearly not good enough. Monica loves that dog and only wants to minimise her stress whereas the rescue seems to be treating her as property. Where is the love for the dog in that?!
- 2018-02-05 21:12 Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
- Gillian we have been communicating for the last 3 months at the contrary of what you stated. When Bridie was found I had the legal obligation to inform George, the registered owner, that she was in my care and provided him my details as he wanted to see his dog. I was not aware of your adoption terms and conditions. If your rescue wanted Bridie back why to date you have not requested her documents back from the adopter? I had her ownership transferred to me and I have this in writing to that effect as you know. I have had Bridie welfare at heart since she was missing. She has been also spayed under my care as you are aware. This is not a fight over a 'property'. It is about a sensitive being, a fearful lost girl let down as rehomed in an unsuitable area to start. I am not sure how a fearful dog can be rehomed in London. Same as I am not sure how a dog can be brought unspayed in uk and rehomed unspayed after time in foster in uk. Same as I am not sure why she has to go all the way to Scotland when she could be rehomed from me to avoid an uncessary stress. These dogs endure the consequences of our wrong decisions and they get scarred for life. It is about what is in Bridie best interest! I have not got any missed call from you so please feel free to call me if you need to X

- Really?
- 2018-02-05 18:10 Mrs O
- I have contacted doglost through this site but have not had a reply. Your volunteer Monica, who was so helpful in finding Bridie, has never returned her to us so Bridie is still missing as far as we are concerned. Monica will not answer calls or communications and we are having to resort to the police and court action. Can anyone help us here? We have had assistance in finding her from your volunteers and now one of them has effectively stolen our dog.

- Crossposting from Bridie's FB page "PLEASE CAN YOU NOW HELP TAKE POSTERS DOWN!!
BRIDIE IS SAFE! Last night we received calls from people who had seen her on Bromley Rd then Oakwood Ave - as expected the fireworks had caused her to run and consequently show herself - helpers went to the area, but could not see her, so they postered the area and we waited for the next call. This morning 7.15am she was sighted again same area, then a bit later in Beckenham Place Park by a dog walker who was able to feed her treats until help arrived. Finally after patiently sitting and feeding her one of the helpers managed to get a slip lead on her.
Well done everyone involved. J. x - 2017-11-06 17:12 Mrs O
- Bridie was captured this morning and she is safe. I cannot give enough thanks to all of the team who helped to generate sufficient publicity to ensure that the sighting that lead to us catching her was reported to the right people. DogLost Monica M has gone above and beyond in her tireless efforts postering and searching along with the team at Canine Capture UK and a bunch of die hard volunteers. Perfect outcome to get this girl back in one piece and into safety.

- From Monica Bridie has been sighted again. It is imperative not to chase her or she will move further afield. We need her to settle to feel safe and stay in the area so we can work on how to bring her to safety. Follow by distance only.

- Monica is doing a wonderful job in helping but help is desperately needed please help if you can even if your time is limited just 15 minutes would be appreciated to help - crossposting from Monica " "Do you live in or around the following areas? New Addington Addiscombe West Wickham Croydon Beckenham West Norwood Crystal Palace? If you do please share this post in local groups. I am reaching out for public support
We have a rescue dog missing in south London who is not used to cars or traffic as she never lived in an urban area. She is most luckily running low. I know how hard it is to spare any time in our busy life. However, it doesn’t mean this has to be hours
Could y put just 10 posters near your local school or park or supermarket? This can be done while you drop kids to school, while you do your daily shopping or walking your dog. Are you a postman or a road sweeper or perhaps a cab driver? If so you could put a few posters in your office and or car to alert your colleagues.
15 MINUTES of your time could reach the right person to get the call we are desperately awaiting for.
We need all of YOU to get this girl home and we are desperate for a sighting. The adopter is not a young man anymore and he is reaching out for help. If you can help please confirm below which road school or park you can cover"" - 2017-10-28 19:34 Hollieberry
- I wish I could help but I am too far away but I shall keep my fingers crossed in the hope that Bridie is found or seen soon .
- 2017-10-28 19:15 Mrs O
- Thank you everyone. As you know, Bridie is an adopted rescue and the adopter has not been keeping the rescue informed so I have changed the contact details. All info will now go to me or Nicki who is a member of the rescue team. We now have a core team of very experienced helpers but very few people on the ground to deliver leaflets. Monica from DL is being amazing but she cannot do it all by herself. Can we get more appeals out for foot soldiers? 1000 flyers will arrive Monday or Tuesday. Thank you all for your help so far, this poor girl must be somewhere. Dog wardens, police, network rail all informed, still no sightings.
