So glad to see Tyson is back home with his owner. Well said NickyB - and fionaufo this is not the first time that volunteers have helped to get a dog back home by digging into their own purses and it will not be the last I am sure. We all work - FOR THE LOVE OF THE DOG - volunteers and other people donate to ensure this service remains the best service to lost/stolen and found dogs and yes - IT IS FREE.

fionaufo - doglost.co.uk is the most amazing site for all lost/found animals..... they act immediately on info given to them, they have years of expert knowledge, they have police support, they have thousands of people like me who when pet missing in our postcode area we help to search/poster/spread the word - and doglost.co.uk is FREE. They survive solely on donations

Fionaufo - your comment below insinuates that Dog Lost are charging £150 for the release of Tyson. This is nothing to do with Dog Lost. It is SDK Environmental who collect stray dogs on behalf of Local Authorities who require this payment. GillyP on behalf of Dog Lost registers the found dogs in the hope of reuniting with owners. Really hope that the crowdfunding page set up by owner's daughter can raise the funds to get Tyson home

Just to say it’s not DogLost who are charging £150, they are helping with reuniting Tyson, it is another agency who are looking after him!

I have a message from owner's daughter the owner of this dog - her poor mum is very seriously ill and does not have the funds to pay the release fee - a crowfunding page was set up and target has been reached. J. xLast edited: 2017-11-08 20:19:07 by Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London

I am really upset that you are asking for £150 to reunite this lovely dog with his family. In fact I think it is irresponsible for an organisation that gives th impression it is acting in the best interests of animals. Pls act responsibly and reunite Tyson with his owners.
