That sounds great David, particularly that many people know about him already. Posters really do help! Fingers still firmly crossed for his safe return.

I’ve put up 60 posters across Beckenham Place Park, Ravensbourne and Beckenham High Street Stations, and in the windows of Beckenham High Street shops (aiming for areas of high footfall)

It still didn’t feel like much but there was a very high knowledge of Elliot wherever I went - people are following isocial media

I’ve put a pile of used socks covered in wee under a sheltered area where he disappeared

Looking at the area, there's an exposed section without any fencing that means it's easy to access the railway tracks without any barrier. Our suspicion is that he got onto the tracks and has been living in the sidings - possibly running further away when he's scared by trains, and unable to get back out because of the many miles of sealed fencing. That might make some sense and explain why there have been no sightings of him

The train drivers now have the missing poster, so will hopefully keep an eye out too

Cheers
David

Hi David, may be worth you going round personally to vets, pet shops etc. People will then connect with you as the dog owner. We helped a lost dog years ago - the owner took a week off work and cycled round giving out flyers. Dog eventually was reunited. Don't give up hope!

Further thought: is it possible to add a landline number? One local friend (who has helped reunite MANY dogs locally) is on PAYG & prefers to use landlines.

Sorry to hear about Elliot. I've done a PDF version of 'mini flyers' - 10 per page - with pic and contact number. Email info@safedog.co.uk if you're in the local area & would like to give these out to people you say when you're searching.

A driver reported a possible sighting of a white dog walking along Becknheam High Street around 7pm last night. We went searching in the area but found nothing

I've done a different poster offering a reward - if anyone is in the wider Beckenham area, particularly the High Street heading outwards from the park, and might be willing to put the poster around the area could you email me at davidrichardson1807@me.com please

We're hoping to cover as wide a radius as possible. Thank you!

I live round the corner from BPP and have been looking and spread the word locally to dog walkers. Downham cabs are normally quiet good for a poster and informing their drivers as have asked them a few times when dogs have gone missing round here.
I will drive round tomorrow night when i finish work to have a look on perimeter on park entrances, as dogs tend to venture out at night when it quietens down. Also check behind the downham high street shops as many over flown bins with food where he could try and scavenge.

Hoping for you David that Elliot is found safe soon, Debbie

Thank you everyone for your help. He was wearing his red harness, with a tag with our phone numbers on. He's a very friendly dog - always rushes up to people and other dogs - so the fact there have been no sightings makes me wonder if he has moved beyond the park. But of course he may well return there, hopefully. Thanks again David
