I have tagged this page to Strayaid.org.uk via lost and stolen gundogs on Facebook in the hope that they will look at Rosie's photo. A little dog found but in a bit of a mess hard to tell if it is Rosie but worth checking.

would it be worth (if nobody has thought of it) contacting local dog grooming people, as a cocker she may well be taken for clipping. I clip a just very few dogs here in the forest, sadly I don't know her. but we have several groomers now and maybe oe of these could just recognise her markings.
DogLostReynard
Its been two years since dear little Rosie was stolen and she is still sadly missed by her owners  :(
We at doglost will keep looking for Rosie and hope she will be reunited soon xxx

Advertising again in South Wales and trying the Birmingham area. Been in contact with Your Dog Magazine this week. They've confirmed they'll run the story on Rosie in July's edition, which will be on sale from early June. Chased up Mirror - still no joy! Still following up possible leads/red herrings. Not giving up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Millie's mum and thanks athelstan101. Really appreciate your efforts. Spoke with Matthew Holehouse, he's away this week, but confirmed he's passed the story to the Editor. Hopefully it will run soon. Pet feature on the Hereford and Worcester Radio went okay, unfortunately, I was planning on providing description of Rosie at end as I felt this is what most people would remember. Unfortunately, they faded me out - very disappointing. Although, it has generated some interest and received some calls as a result. I guess any publicity is better than none. Even if it just saves one family going through what we have the last 8 weeks. Thanks everyoneLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also Hereford and Worcester Radio have contacted us to run a pet feature and to use our story as an example. It will be live at around 7.10/7.20am tomorrow. Hereford times ran the story last Thursday (20th). It was good for the bigger picture, asking vets to scan dogs as a matter of course on a routine visit, but very little in the way of a description of Rosie. We asked if they could include a picture, but I guess space was an issue. They did have a reference to the doglost site which was excellent.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke with Hereford times this week. The journalist has the story ready, it's now up to the Editor whether it runs. If it's not published shortly, I'll apply more pressure to hopefully get coverage. Thanks everyone.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the info on ISPCA, we'll give it a try. I'll pass details on to Todd's owners. We were expecting a piece on the Hereford Times as they contacted us about the story, but it hasn't been printed yet. Countryman's weekly editorial has been slightly delayed but should be out tomorrow. Still advertising Bristol, Hereford, Wales way and locally. Don't lose hope, she is out there somewhere! Link in with the other owners like you have been doing and keep pooling information. There is definately a link between them all, and having spoken to Pidgeons owner, we now have a lead as to where Pidgeon was. The police are investigating of course, but all I can say is hang on in there and keep up the good work you are doing. Your hard work will pay off and you are doing all the right things to get Rosie back. Keep strong and know that we are all right behind you, willing your girl to be found.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken with vets in Ross. They confirmed that there were 3 dogs taken around the 17th January. 1 Patterdale terrier which I have had contact with owners regarding. I don't think they have registered with Doglost yet, although they are aware of the site. The other 2 dogs were types of Terriers but the Vet did not give any further information. Don't forget your postman! also poster in newsagents window etc, posters in all family cars... this looks like an 'opportunist' theft, so make her too hot to handle. If you are in a rural area, find and talk to gamekeepers in case she's been taken for working... more likely kids tho imo, schools and youth clubs are a good betLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
