- Message left for owner to give me a call to let me know how she got home. I have apologised for not being in touch due to being away but said we're all extremely happy that she's home safely and that everyone is asking about her x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- It was about 8pm on the 20th Jan. The only pics I have of her are of her as a very young puppy and I think they could be misleading as she is a fit adult now. She is quite distinctive as she is a bright red brindle with four white feet...one slightly longer sock on a back leg, a white tail tip and a white patch on the back of her neck. She has dark eyes, and is NOT a blue or fawn brindle. She is fit and slim and well muscled, with a good active attitude and quick thinking brain, not a delicate gentle "couch whippet" like so many are today, though she is by modern standards quite small. She is a confident fearless dog, with no fear of pepole or other dogs and will willingly approach strangers with little encouragement. She is no "Shrinking Violet", and not the type of dog to hide away shivering in a shed or garage...she would be more likely to go and raid a few bins, pop to the local Kentucky and then go and chase a few bunnies before turning up back home all smiley and tired. She is very fast and fit, and can jump a five foot fence with ease, but will also willingly jump into cars or willing people's arms. I am sure she will have been picked up by somebody....she has never been out of my sight before, and though she takes daily off lead exercise is excellent at recall, and it was quiet and still when I lost her with minimum traffic around and no more tha 100 yards from my doorstep....probably only 30 yards away as the crow flies...I am sure she has been picked up as there is no way she woud not know the way home from there and there was no squeal to indicate she had been injured or trapped somewhere, and no sign of a body had she run into something at speed and killed herself....highly unlikely anyway as she has superp coordination, but is very very fast and fit. I just don't understand how a dog can vanish into thin air and was fully expecting her to turn up this morning, but nothing. The FY3 area is suburban/urban and there are always people about, and most people in the local area know my whippets and would have told me had they seen her. I am really at a loss what to do now...she is very important to me, both gorgeous looking and talented. Thanks, Ivor ............e mail from owner. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
