From owner on Dog Lost Surrey FB page "Wow what an emotionally and physically exhausting 3 days it has been!
Many have asked bout where he was found, so here’s the brief version :-)
After bolting when spooked by a large dog on West End common, he ran for about 1.5/2miles into bogs, stream and heavy woods. He then backed on himself and found a way to the Portsmouth Road. Which he ran down, being spotted and darted into the woods opposite Claremont. He spent a day and a bit in there hiding and surviving and then ran down West End lane to the prince of Wales pub and ran into park close at about 2.30am, again he was spotted by a lovely lady who had been out searching for him since that afternoon! My husband then laid out food to try to get him and eventually he realised who was there and was happy to go home and we were reunited at 4.30am this morning.

We are so happy to have him back home and he is settling back perfectly.

As a thank you and celebration (and a belated happy birthday to my husband as we couldn’t celebrate yesterday) we will be at the prince of Wales in Esher from 12.30ish if anyone would like to join us for a drink! Thank you everyone "

From Henry's owner on Dog Lost Surrey FB page "We have been searching since 5.30am-we haven’t seen anything. The “dog sniffer” came back this evening and said that there was a high indication that he had been in the area that we were searching within the last 6 hours - so this is really hopeful!
We are now doing his recommendation of being based at the car park on West End lane / near the Portsmouth Road junction. We have dog food and some clothing that smells like us there. We are calling out into the woods on the other side of the road as this was the area that most strong in his smell. It is likely that he has / May do again dart between the woods on either side of West End lane. So we are taking regular walks up and down WEL and Portsmouth Road.
Although we haven’t seen anything, this is really encouraging. We will keep doing this until the early hours or so. And we will be back at early hours.
Thank you again to everyone who has been out waking, searching, texting, postering etc. You’re all fab! We WILL get Henry home.
I will be making a page for Henry so I can update you all more easily.
Thank you "

**Possible sighting 11:05 tonight **

There was a small dark dog running frantically along Portsmouth road near Claremont gardens. We tried to stop and catch it, but it was petrified and much too fast for us to catch, and ran off into the bushes. If anyone’s missing a dog it’s worth having a look in this area.

Seen 11:05, I think it could have been the dog above, looks similar. We initially thought it was a dachshund but when we managed to get closer it looked bigger and lighter than a dachshund. It ran off into the bushes on the opposite side of the road to Claremont gardens.

Emma is aware
