I have added a link to this page on the post asking if anyone has got close enough to the runaway to compare with George. A comment has been added in response by Annie Matthews: " Cant be certain but the dog i saw in haddington was stockier and shorter.. with a blockier head more like a staffy. It was also darker in colour."
EDIT: further comment on same post from Carole Leighton: "I've been in contact with dog lost regarding the possibility of it being George.
I was only 3 - 4 feet from him and there is a distinct similarity.
Waiting to hear back after Christmas"

There is a male, fox red labrador been running around Haddington EH41 for over a week. He is in full survival mode and runs when anyone approaches. He is dirty and very tired looking.
I know it's a long shot, but could it be George and he's been dumped?
Following on from the 2 Devon spaniels having been found in Northumberland, I'm hoping this is a possibilty.
