- Are these hounds ALL still missing? Any sightings? I'd have expected them to stick together, in which case I would have thought 5 hounds tanking around in a specific area would have been seen by somebody!! Hounds do sadly get killed on trainlines however, especially if they are actually on a trail, but all five? And again, wouldn't the Hunt staff be out with horns calling them in?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I have been up to Blindley Heath/Godstone today, no sign of any foxhounds sadly. I also did not see one poster up? Are the Hunt putting any up???? If they are loose in Blindley Heath, although the postcode is different, it is not that far from Felbridge where the kennels are. It would take about 5 minutes in a car to get from one to the other, so it would not be unreasonable to think that they might make it home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Just in case you wanted to alter the wording on the description, Blindley Heath is in Surrey. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- The dogs must be from Old Surrey & Burstow, which is based in Felbridge RH19. I don't know of any current travellers in the area, other than the couple of 'based' groups in Smallfield, Surrey. This local hunt know these people, and they would certainly go into the camp if they thought the dogs were there. I hope they are found safe and well very soon. I have sent out several emails, etc to friends in the Blindley Heath area. I am sure the Hunt Kennels will be contacting all land owners etc as they will know them .. - Yes finally got a little more to tell you. The dogs were on exercise with rest of the pack in Blindley Heath, these five have at sime point broken away - very unusual as you will appreciate, especially as there roughly 40 of them. The dogs kennels are in RH19 and so we understand they were probably transported and unlikely to walk home. Locals may know there are travellers sites in the vicinity apparently. So we need to poster in and around RH7 area please. Will get poster changed too. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- If these were working foxhounds from local hunt, I imagine they would be from Old Surrey & Burstow. If Crawley, then Crawley & Horsham Hunt. Our local hunt, Surrey Union, is based at Okewood Hill RH5. Nothing on any websites about missing hounds. Sue W: any more news? PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Blindley Heath is certainly NOT in Crawley. Crawley is West Sussex RH11, Blindley Heath is RH7. I have notified friends in the Blindley Heath area to keep an eye out ... Shirley (Sussex).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- There is racing at Lingfield this afternoon. Be a good place to get posters and give out flyers. You could also ask the racecourse if they could make an announcement. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Would suggest that Alastair Jackson at the Hunting Office is alerted, he will then be able to send out e-mails to all hunts in the country to be on the look out. His numbers are 01285 653001/07774262540Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- It's on the A22 just south of South Godstone (RSPCA kennels there) - nearest other place is Lingfield of racecourse fame.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- There are boarding kennels at Blindley Heath and there also used to be greyhound kennels there, not sure if they are still there. The hounds might be attracted by the sound of the dogs barking. Did they escape, were they out hunting or were they stolen? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Jayne Blindley Heath is a village which comes up as RH7 on my AutoRoute, however, it is about 8 miles from Crawley as the crow flies.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
