- Toffee is found and safe. From his daughter on Doglost Surrey:
TOFFEE HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS OK!!! (Sorry for shouting!)
My parents are with him now in a garden in Walton on the Hill.
THANK YOU so much for all your help and advice - it's been AMAZING!!! We are so happy right now!!!
Thank you Amy. I suspect your sighting was the one that got his owners in the right place at the right time.
So very very happy this little boy is back home :) - 2017-11-22 08:36 Amy
- I phoned this morning - I spotted a dog matching Toffee’s description at 8am this morning in the woods opposite Tadworth Street, Walton on the Hill. The dog came from the entrance on the road that leads into the woods. He saw me and my dog, turned and jogged back in the pathway back out of the woods

- Thank you GillyP for going back to check. Another sighting from earlier in Walton-on-the-hill: Saw a similar dog outside Chinthurst School about 2pm today, but without the white. As has been suggested it could have been just a bit dirty. He was heading towards Walton on the HillLast edited: 2017-11-21 20:09:28 by csquaredb

- The owner needs to go looking for Toffee in the early hours of the morning between midnight and 5am as he's more likely to come out of hiding when his surroundings are quiet now he's in survival mode. He will almost certainly keep returning to the area he was lost so the owner needs to be around there for as long as possible during the night and into the morning.
- 2017-11-21 18:44 Unknown
- I have spoken with owner as on my way home there was a dead animal just by the cricket pitch in Headley. Couldn't stop or make out the animal. Fingers crossed it's not Toffee. Mr Wiseman will go out in the morning

- Another earlier sighting, today at about 1pm: I saw a dog just like this today running past chinthurst School in tadworth going to Walton!
- 2017-11-21 17:33 Wiseman
- Had a phone call 5 mins ago saying that Toffee had crossed someone's lawn on Tadworth Street Tadworth at 11am this morning.
Thanks to everyone who are continuing the search. - 2017-11-21 14:46 csquaredb
- Thanks Ferylcat, expanding on your sighting:
Possible sighting of Toffee 40 mins ago in Walton-on-the-Hill, athough lady not sure dog seen had much white. However very muddy up on the Downs where he was seen Sunday, so could be grubby!
It was on the corner of new road at the Walton on the hill end. The fog was sniffing round the corner of the road new road then ran back up the road towards the A217 then ran over to the right into the woods towards the mill field
I have called the owners so they are aware. There is a straight path down from where he was seen on Sunday on the Downs to Walton-on-the-Hill. His home is Leatherhead, so it's possible he might now head through Headley and then to home. Scent items out at home too.Last edited: 2017-11-21 14:47:08 by csquaredb - 2017-11-21 14:15 Ferylcat
- Referring to my last post...a dog matching the description was seen in the area just outside Walton on the hill by the pond area next to New Road
- 2017-11-21 14:06 Ferylcat
- I've added it on a local site to the area - Walton and Tadworth Community Hub. Someone has posted this....
"Julia Graystone : Just seen a black and brown collie dog in the road by the mill field tried to follow it but it crossed the road and went back towards the mill field it looked lost?
This was on another site today

- More on yesterday morning sighting: If you park to the left of the grandstand looking out over the course there is a path in front of you, if you go to the top you’ll cross over the course. The downs keepers park there early morning while the horses are exercising. Over the over side of the course is an open green area with woods on either side. I saw the dog on the left hand side.
You can reach the same location by driving over the course and parking in the top car park. The keepers park at the far end of the road. - 2017-11-20 16:34 csquaredb
- The sighting on Saturday night ties in with the possible sighting Julie mentions below. Saw a dog very similar to this this morning near the race course where the downs keepers park, came out of the woods for a few moments then ran back in. This was around 07.15 am. Seems likely that this was Toffee.
- 2017-11-20 15:43 Wiseman
- We learnt today that Toffee was seen at 22.30pm on Saturday evening by a ranger on Epsom Downs near the Derby Arms pub. When he tried to get him Toffee ran off again.

- I have spoken to owner this morning, Toffee was visiting the area, will be unfamiliar with surroundings. It is now over 24hrs since he went missing and likely in survival mode, please do not shout or chase him, report sightings immediately to owner.
IMPORTANT - contact number is for owner who has gone to Epsom from home in Esher - any chance of a mobile number for contact with Epsom area please.
