Really pleased to see Scruffy is home safe and sound after such a long time
Very unnecessary and aggressive comments from SimonH..
See Bruce 123893 for another one of his many other unbelievable & horrible comments..

Pleased Scruffy is home, but sad that SimonH had to be rude to Janejewel and Skyewalker. 'Hi Jane jewel, I think you may have misunderstood, I am not the owner' would have been a much better way of wording it...telling people to grow up should have no place on the Dog Blog.

Thanks Skywalker99, and Jenkins for your support. SimonH In my post
below 2018-1-4 07:29... I meant for the owner to treat the kind lady, not you. I am aware that you aren`t the owner. I admit I worded it wrong. When I said thank you SimonH it was for the info on your postLast edited: 2018-01-04 19:51:21

Happy New Year SimonH!

Skywalker - I assume people are intelligent and don’t make judgement without facts. I am pleased the cat is home and the owner is thankful to the finder. I’m sure we are all grown up enough to work together without sarcasm and judgement - i won’t bother answering again because your opinion doesn’t interest me.

Totally agree with Skywalker 99 - an unnecessary comment by Simon H. Janiejewel does a marvellous job in trying to reunite cats on this site and Simon H also does a great job and provides excellent information. We need to all work together to get the pets home :)
Skywalker99
SimonH, have you considered that janejewel just misunderstood your cross post from Facebook and thought you were the owner? Very unnecessary comment at the end of your last post, people make mistakes!
SimonH
Janiejewel - Why would I do that? I’m just stating the owners response - grow up.

Thanks SimonH Maybe you could buy the kind lady a box of chocolates or a nice 218 calendar?Last edited: 2018-01-04 17:39:57

A comment from The relieved owner “ Look what I’ve been sent. Some amazing woman has found him and has been keeping him safe until she could get him to a vet to be scanned. She is dropping him off after she has finished work tonight. I’ve cried a lot of very big tears! Ive even driven to the place he’s been found but he’s safe inside her house. It’s a 20 minute drive away including one motorway junction!!!
Just off to buy all of the dreamies and do a lot more crying! Scruffy is coming home!!!
Now what on earth do I buy for a woman who’s giving us back the heart of our family???
I’m literally shaking right now.“

Nothing like the negative spin but on here about the finder.
SimonH
How lovely of people to keep the cat safe and then reunite with the owners when they discovered he was chipped. Positive result.
Unknown
Why did these people keep him all this time before having him scanned for a microchip?

Hi, 80% of cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where they went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. Really hope Scruffy comes home soon, thinking of you

And ask around

Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent, and especially the little boys scent. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it ,may attract his attention. Walk around the area, holding an object with Scruffy`s scent on, and especially the little boys too; maybe an unwashed garment or perhaps a pillow case off the child`s bed (*Unwashed) If possible and safe take the child with you if possible. Pets will usually go to a child first as we know. When searching use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis,as the cat will recognize the scent, When it is nightfall, and you are looking use a strong torch will reflect a cats eyes. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Please come home Scruffy your needed at home What a fantastic job these pets do
