desperate for someone to get sight of him - paul
Mark96
Thanks Lucy for that. Being shared near Wardle by someone who rehomed a dog from Bleakholt a few weeks ago. Need that sighting now as it's getting deflating.Last edited: 2017-11-29 18:08:32 by Mark96

Hi Mark, great idea I've put some posters up today including one at Greenbooth x
Mark96
Hi Nat. I think we need posters putting out at Greenbooth reservoirs. There are 2 main places that people park there to walk their dogs....Mark
NatalieC
We have just finished camping out with the trap and cooked food into the early hours to lure him in. It looks like he wasn't in the Edenfield area tonight. We need to get a few more sightings so we can get the trap in the right place. Feels like back to square one, but we are still looking. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help.
Mark96
Been up to the windmills from Owd Betts pub, no sign, was looking over the moors and hills at sheep in the far distance but they wern't being disturbed by any movement near them, so that was a sign nothing was around... I did meet a couple on the way down around 3.45pm and they have a relative who owns Amber pet supplies in Norden and she will ask them to put up a poster in the shop for Finn... Feel deflated again today after the lift yesterday! Mark
Mark96
Well done everybody that went out. He won't be long now home.
Email has been forwarded by the quarry manager to all at Scout Moor quarry for the morning. Fingers crossed now its coming to an end... Mark
NatalieC
Finn was up on the windfarm, and has been seen running across the top and toward owd betts so he is still in the area which is great news, as we were worried after the weather over the last couple of days. Just need him to calm down and hand himself in. Please if you see him don't chase him as he can run like a horse. He will be hungry now so just needs some food to earn his trust.- Paul
Mark96
Copy of email sent to quarry manager at Scout Moor....

Hi Roy.

We have been chasing a Dalmation Dog since Friday and he has been seen at the Scout Moor Wind Farm this afternoon.

Could you please contact the people up at the quarry up there tomorrow and kindly ask the drivers etc to keep a look out for the dog, He is called Finn and is running scared.

He hasnt eaten or had shelter for 4 days so if someone comes across him give him something to eat and phone sightings to the numbers below....

We spent most of yesterday combing the village of edenfield and its surrounding hillside, but didnt see finn. There was a post on Facebook of a picture of Finn further down from the duckworth arms, but we are not sure when it was taken. We really need some signtings of finn so we can get our boy home. Please keep on looking for him. - Paul

Paul - can you contact admin please for them to send alerts to the areas below? Thanks Mark

No sightings of Finn so far today. When have been into edenfield and around all the places he was seen yesterday. We have also searched the surrounding hillside as best we can, its such a vast area. It is very possible that he has moved out of the area. Hope we get a sighting soon as tonight will be his third night in the cold.- PaulLast edited: 2017-11-26 15:11:16 by NatalieC

We have had quite a few sightings this morning around 'the plum' of Rochdale road in Eden field, but we haven't managed to get there in time yet. But thank you for all the calls we have had, at least he managed to survive the cold last night. Hopefully we will find him soon. paul

If there isn't any news before the morning, I think the most likely place to search will be where the river runs then as he seems to be favouring there?

I have shared with DL FB Page, Twitter & Public. I hope that Finn is safely back at home soon.X

Hi Mark, yep cant believe we are here again. Finn escaped from his dog walker in stubbins and seems to have headed in the same direction as honey did. He tried to get back to where he ran off from, then seems to have given up in Chatterton Village and followed the banks of the irwell. He was last seen at 12 heading towards rawtenstall, following manchester Road (as it goes up to the tescos in Haslingdon), but in the fields by the river, so roughly heading under the A56 and towards Rawtenstall. We havent heard anything since. so no clue where to look. We went back out tonight in the hope he might double back on himself, but no sign of him. Finn is a lot more sociable, so I am hoping someone has given him shelter. Paul
Mark96
Hi Nat. Mark from Bleakholt, remember? I thought this was some sort of sick joke when I saw it on facebook! Where has Finn last been seen?
