Can I remind everyone that we do not poster the common at Wimbledon. There is a Rangers office who watch these pages and voluntarily circulate to all employees. Please be responsible when you poster, if we loose this vital help it will not help our cause or our missing dogs. I am currently putting posters up in the Addiscombe area. This is one of the areas accesible via the tram at Wimbledon. Hopefully this tip was followed up by owners when I posted previously on 13:09 - 27/1/2008. This route is typical for would be thieves and a direct route to the areas we know they live and many dogs have been recovered from. Go along the route with flyers and posters - what have you got to loose? Many thanks, Sue x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi my poster is still up in the car park on Wimbledon Common, though some have now gone from other parts of the common. I was down at Pets at home last week in Kingston Road and there is still a poster of Mwana there which someone has placed. Lets hope we may see her back with you very soon.....fingers crossed. I have written to my MP and I urge everyone else to lobby their MP about dog theft. I have also signed Dolly's directive too. You'll find it on the home page of Dogs lost. Please everyone get involved with this. We have to get our voices heard on dog theft. Best wishesLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The man who said he thinks he has seen Mwana didn't see the posters in Coulsdon he must have seen them in Wimbledon or surrounding areas. After seeing the poster and then thinking he had seen Mwana on several occasions he made a trip back to the area to get a poster and our phone number. My husband thinks that this man is telling the truth as he has been open about his address and contact details and is willing to talk to the police etc. We won't be giving up and the man said as soon as he sees her again he will try find out whch house she is living at and will let us know asap. So I guess its a waiting game now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

SueW - no Plough in the Coulsdon area this is why I said that this is a long way from where the dog went and I would not see any need to poster in the Coulsdon area so this man would not have seen poster in this area this is why I feel this could be a Hoax, I know the Coulsdon area and very well. And Coulsdon pets get a lot of animals from pet farms. Not the best place to buy from. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Maybe an idea to ring the vet in Coulsdon, Anwell Veterinary Centre 020 8668 6151, if she has been bought into this area she probably has been to the vet for a check up. There is a pet shop in Couldson which sells dogs and cats, I don't know where they get them from!!!! I bought two cats from there which nearly died on me!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

caring mummy there is a plough lane not far from where she was taken, by the stadium. Could it be a ploy to divert your attention elsewhere? Very industrialised and wouldn't hurt to poster heavily in a wide area around there. Can't find any 'Plough' leads for Coulsdon, anyone else? Austin are you looking in you know the area fairly well? Sorry Caring Mummy, the phone call you received last night was one of many. Our resident internet troll was on the prowl again contacting owners and finders. I received 5 missed calls and 2 voicemails from the same Polish woman claiming to be the owner of two different found dogs. Should you have any further problems with her, please call the police.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everyone for your help! We also got a phone call from a lady last night around 8pm who claimed to be writing an article for the Dog World Magazine on missing dogs. She was not from England and was asking my husband some very odd questions. She was trying to find out how much information and what sort of leads we had in getting Mwana back. It all seemed a little suspicious so my husband cut the conversation short and didn't give her too much information. I called Dog World this morning and they said they have not heard of the lady as she did give my husband her first name but not surname. Dog World also said they are a newspaper not a magazine as the woman on the phone had stated. It all seems a little odd and Dog World seem to think this woman could have the dog and was just trying to find out how much information we actually had and how close we were to finding Mwana. This is a neverending nightmare and I just pray someone returns her to us very soon!!!! The gentleman says he has seen her on Plough Lane if that rings any bells? My husband has the other road name that there has apparently been a possible sighting but I don't know it off hand. i will find out and post it for all to see. do we know what part of coulsdon that MWANA was sighted was it Old Coulsdon or west Coulsdon? also I find it hared that this man had seen posters in that area as this is a long way from where MWANA went missing I know dogs can be brought ad sold on but for him to say he had seen poster in that area makes me wounder weather this is a hoax, now I don't want to upset you and blow this down but if anyone of our helpers did poster this area then I could be wrong I hope I am. but if you can let us know Old Clousdon or West Clousdon and then we can get posters up in the right area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Everyone Some positive news this morning! A very decent sounding man called my husband on his mobile and said he has seen a puppy matching Mwana's photo and description perfectly in the Coulsden area. She said he has seen her several times but didn't have our phone number to hand. He went out this morning to find a poster and get our phone number. He said he will keep his eyes peeled for her again and find out which house in his area she is living in. He said once he has that info he will call my husband back and then we can get the police to go over there with a poster to identify her. Please everyone say your prayers that this leads to something and is not another hoax. I am so excited my heart is beating far too fast but trying not to get my hopes up too high. it would be wonderful to have her home by this weekend!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No still no news of our little Mwana. I can't beleive it was 1 month ago yesterday she went missing. We miss her everyday! I think a petition is a super idea. So many people I have spoken to have been appalled when I have mentioned how little the police have done to help look for our pup. I just don't know what else to do except continue calling the shelters, police, etc. I have now gone back to work so unable to poster during the week. Thank you all for your help and support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Sue, sorry I have not been in contact had to go away urgently. Yes I speak to quite a few people on the common and there is still a poster in the car park at the end of the common and viewed by many dog walker and owners. I'm so sorry that this little darling is still missing. I keep my eyes open. I often think about her and especially the owners. Still hoping that she will be returned but am aware the the trail must be getting very cold indeed. It's about time the police and government agencies pulled their respective finger's out by getting some new legislation on Dog Theft. Would it be possible to get some sort of petition going on this site? We could then pass it around to all contacts. Dog theft, as we know so well, is so very devastating also the damage it does in incalculable in its effect on the families it happens to. We really need a whole set of New Laws to guard our friends safety. Bring back Dog Licences for one I say, at least then our dogs would have too by law be CHIPPED and dare I say TATTOOED as well for their complete safety. At least then, this kind of criminal activity would happen hopefully with less frequency. The devastation to us all when this sort of thing happens is as much a crime against the person as being attacked in the street. These are our Pets and as such are part of our family, they deserve proper protection from these louts and criminals. Both the government and the police too need to take these theft seriously and not just pay them lip service which they seem to be doing at present. So come on people lets GET SOMETHING GOING, IT HAS TO START SOMEWHERE, SO LET IT BE HERE! Sorry I'm on my soap box today Sue but I do feel strongly about this. Very best wishes Peaches Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks everyone. Peaches do you manage to speak to people on the common, maybe show them a poster or a leaflet to take with them should they come across her? Might also be worth contacting RSPCA at Putney, Quill Bridge it used to be called someone know the new name? They say they don't take strays but we know they won't turn them away if dumped. Dorset Road the other side of the tram is a must if anyone can, as is the tram but no mention of this being followed up Mwanas people? Mitcham, Morden South, Colliers Wood, Tooting, Raynes Park and the top of Wimbledon all need posters if not already. If thats done then Putney, Wandsworth, Kingston are other areas to do. Postered for Mwana today on Epsom Common when out postering for Sooty KT22. Really anywhere in the home counties on the outskirts of London could have a poster - she could be anywhere by now. Sue W/Admin: perhaps posters should be sent out to Sussex/Kent/Essex/Hants/Herts postcodes within easy reach of London? or maybe they already have? Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done for your efforts, the more posters out there the better. Glad you are pushing for press releases, if they won't print an editorial (story) then do consider placing an advert in the classifieds section instead. Don't forget Keelah is there to help you put it together for the biggest impact. She is our expert and helps many of our owners. You may find your pet insurance will help with costs for advertising to find her. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

i drove to the area and surronding areas yesterday with posters which i handed out to local shops owns and people walking around the streets. Everyone showed much concerned and said they will keep an eye for Mwana. i still believe that the police can do more and will keep hassling them on a daily basis. We also have a couple of friends who are going to help us on the weekend to cover a larger area with posters. Our hearts are just broken without our little one at home and are determined to get her home. Thank you all for your help. I have also spoken to the Blue Cross Animal Centre on Merton High Street who are aware that Mwana is missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

caring mummy can I draw your attention to the page for recently reunited Max, Bull Mastiff SW14 who was stolen from Richmond, Surrey (SW London area), he was found dumped in the Croydon area. Do not underestimate the thieves, they move quickly and don't usually operate on their own territory. If the estate is ruled out then other areas must be considered, especially pubs and the like. Its a shame you are not able to travel with your husband and maybe spend a day travelling the tram route and other areas to hand out leaflets and put up posters. The tram links Wimbledon to Croydon and beyond. I also advise not to just phone vets but get email address or fax numbers and send them a visual. In the meantime, we are all doing what we can to help and suggest in the time we have available. Did you get her in the papers OK? Hope she turns up soon. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Make sure you go in the Blue Cross Animal Centre 88-92 Merton High Street, as its possible if someone from the estate has still got her, they might take her in there to visit a vet. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to the police and they have done some investigating and still believe the phone number was cloned and the guy who now is answering the phone really doesnt know anything about Mwana. They have also been to the estate and sone some knocking on doors and questioning and have hit a dead end. I am not giving up though and am going to keep pestering them until I get some results as I am certain someone nearby has her. Also, Battersea still have not heard or seen anything but are very much aware and supporting us. I am due to call the remainder of vets in SW London which I have on my list on Monday to check again if they have seen Mwana. Someone will have to take her to a vet at some stage so if a vet spots her they can get in touch with us. Fingers crossed and thanks for the support!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Same as Patsy can't stress the importance of Postering Postering Postering, this is a cute puppy, someone has her and lots of people are going to know about her and it only takes ONE with a conscience to call you or a neighbour to see or a friend of a friend who hears about her. That person needs to have seen her poster. You must also make a nuisance of yourself with the police, don't be afraid to go into the station and as one of our other lost dogs "supergran" as she is now known did, create merry hell until she got proper assistance. I wish I lived nearby I would do it for you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I put posters in Pets At Home in Raynes Park on A3 today as I was driving past - one in the shop and one in the vetinary department. Mwana's owners: I urge you to get on with lots of postering as soon as possible - even if not in the immediate area. If you cannot get to south London yourselves, then make sure you post or email a poster to EVERY SINGLE rescue in the country (take a look on www.dogpges.co.uk for details). Also all vets, petshops etc etc. There is so much you can/must do from home as soon as poss. Great that friends can poster for you - make sure they do it this weekend. Sorry to sound bossy, but those of us who have lost dogs ourselves know that quick postering is esssential. good luck in your search. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Agree that you should not add to your worries and concern yourself with injections she has missed. She had her first lot so will still be fine for some time to come yet. Don't forget she will have antibodies from her mum too. Hope you hear something positive today. Did you or Colville get to poster on the estate yet? Might draw them out or a neighbour may phone, even if just to see if there is a reward. All the local pubs should be given posters too, if not already, and all the superstores in and around the Abbey Mills area. Sainsburys have been ehlpful there before and put one up in the garage or on the board outside. If they are local they are likely to shop there. Have you or anyone done the tram stops? I have not heard from the police since Tuesday. I am due to give them a call this morning but have been have some trouble with our broadband and phone line at home. I know they were sending community support officers over to the address but I am yet to hear anything. I will keep you all posted once I have spoken to them today. Also Battersea phoned yesterday as they ran another check for Mwana and still nothing. What are Mwana's chances of staying healthy etc as she was due for her second injection the Monday after she was stolen hence she has only had her first one? The police need to be going to that address to talk to the grandmother at least to establish if the puppy she admitted was brought into the house was Mwana. If the description can be confirmed then you are halfway there. Why are the police waiting? I don't understand.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with cesky2000 you must stay positive have a look on the re-united page to see how many dogs do come home and some after a year or so, and yes make sure you keep up the posting and yes do not get fixed to one area, this boy who as him may have take fright now and so moved the dog around but sooner or later they will be spotted they sound like local kids so they will not go far and someone will see MWANA and you will get that call. hope you get some more news soon keep your chin up we are all rooting for you. Keep strong! Yes, it is only 5 days, even though it seems like a life-time. Keep postering - that really is the key. And don't get too fixated on this one estate, even though it does seem a very likely lead. Don't forget to flood the area around the house she disappeared from. Someone may have seen her there and not thought anything of it at the time, but a poster might just jog their memory, and they could be able to give you vital information.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

At South Wimbledon Station if you go over the traffic lights so the station is on your left and you are heading towards Morden there are large steel gates on the left which lead into the estate. You can't drive through them they are for pedestrians but if you walk through them the block on your right is the block of flats on Priory Close. Thank you all for all the wishes of luck and all your hard work and help. I just keep praying our little Mwana gets home safely and keep telling myself its only been 5 days since she went missing. There is always hope and the possibility someone will return her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Me neither Jayne. I have been out for Max today, as was holding off Mwana until this info came back. However, I did drive around the area quite considerably. I couldn't find this Priory Close behind Wimbledon South station. However, I did circle a large typically 70's estate at Abbey Mills. It was lead into from High Path and couldn't find the way in. Could be this Priory Close is small and within the estate? I would not from what I saw in daylight go there after dark and I am from London. Will get soem posters done and get back there soon as possible though. Corville if you can there with mates and poster it might be better. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just received a call from the officer in charge of the case. He said he has spoken to several people who are all aware of Mwana being missing. The community support team will be going to the address to have a nose around and speak to residents. He will keep me informed but he seems to think this might have been a nasty prank that someone is playing. Well lets hope community support find something out. I will keep everyone up to date with what the police find when they go to the address where she apparently was in Sunday. I am hoping this really leads to something positive as the stress is unbelievable at the moment. If anyone is passing Priory Close and the estate behind South Wimbledon Station please can you put up posters. I amhoping to get there today but a broken washing machine has delayed me this morning and now I am waiting for the repair man to arrive. This would be a great help if anyone is out and in the area. Thanks from Colville and Claire Crawford!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still thinking and hoping for Little Mwana's safe return......Again, if I can be of any help too please contact me via this page and I'll phone. not sure if you contact number is the one above. I think Mwana is going to be too hot the handle if we all get involved. One one fear is that they will just leave her somewhere. Hurry home little one very best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PROGRESS!!!! I have just received a call from an officer who has been assigned to my case. They have been calling the mobile number this morning and spoken to the Fayd guy who claims to know nothing. The officer said sometimes they have trouble with cloned mobile numbers which this might be the case. Anyway they will be going down to the estate today and see what they can find out. Fingers crossed everyone that something positive happens today!!! I will keep you all posted.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The area is Colliers Wood there, so yes any further help along there would be great. We have had dogs taken here in recent times, one just snatched in the street - Rosie if I recall? Get the posters up and make Mwana 'too hot to handle'. Yes do keep on at them. Unfortunately, if they have more pressing events going on then picking up thugs who steal our dogs goes down the chain. So keep on at them and next time you go in ask for a crime reference number if they haven't given you one already. You will have a specific officer assigned to the case that way and a name to keep calling. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have emailed poster to friends in the Wimbledon area. Am in London on Friday with the car, so will poster on the way up if she's not home by then. Good idea about press - why not approach EVENING STANDARD and CAPITAL RADIO? What about LONDON TONIGHT after the news at 6.00 on TV? It is a LONDON story after all. Sue: maybe Keelah could help here? good luck Mwana's owners. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Caring Mummy, pester the police until they actually DO something. A previous poster said that Wimbledon police have been helpful in the past - but this isn't always the case when dogs go missing. You really do have to go there and sit on their doorstep until they get so fed up with you that they take some action. Have you got the press involved - she is so young and so cute that it would make a good story!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

put the posters in clear plastic A4 covers coz rain is forecast next few days. There is always the possibility that the lad not allowed to have pup has given Mwana to a mate who is? Posters should prompt them to return Mwana. Good LuckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Colville and I have put posters from the pub on the corner opposite South Wimbledon Station all the way down Kingston Rd past the Audi garage and then across the road to the Fire Station and back up towards South Wimbledon Station. Then i put posters in post boxes and on car windscreens along all the streets behind the Audi Garage towards South Wimbledon Station. It is quite a big area i covered. I will go to the estate today and put up posters as I think this may help if someone kind picks it up and has noticed the puppy about.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everyone for you support and offers of help. I am going to visit the estate this afternoon and put some posters up an try speak to a few people. I tried to call the number again yesterday afternoon and the guy on the other end is denying that his name is Issac and he knows nothing of a missing puppy. He said his name is Fayd. This is all too hard to believe as his voice sounded exactly the same as the youth who said he had the puppy and also the grandmother said it was her phone no Isaac's. I have still not heard a peep from the Wimbledon Police. I am in absolute shock that they are doing absolutely nothing after the very first officer we spoke to on Sunday evening was so helpful and determined to get the puppy back. I don't understand why when there is a theft from a shop they are there in 5 minutes but when there is a theft of an 8 week old puppy from somebodys property they take almost 48 hours to even read my statement etc. I am feeling very disappointed with them at the moment and feel that this lead my be it and they are just not will to help!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Riverlady I'll ring you later if I don't get anywhere with postering. cina_hough many thanks, not sure if owners have got as fae as Colliers Wood, but if not and no joy with recovery today then working from that end back toward Wimbledon would be good. caring mummy can you let us know how far (that you know) have you or Colville got along that route with posters please? Corbiere, yes would be ideal if gran would help and do the right thing, but have to revert to stereotype and wonder why the boy is always apparently in trouble - lack of guidance? Well lets hope that Mwana is returned today in any case, fingers crossed. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PS if the dog were still in the flat surely the gran would have given it back? Or maybe it needs the police to go round to pressure her. You need to find out where the lad actually lives, if not hereLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just another thought......but it has worked before.....if they are flats well they are not allowed dogs....which is why Gran is saying no......well who are the LANDLORDS?........there should be a notice board outside stating who is in charge...usually a social landlord or a housing association.......ring them up because it is classed as 'anti-social behaviour' stealing dogs...+ explain the situation. I have said to some...ok its your roof or the dog.....because they could be evicted if they have a history of being a nuisance to others. Good Luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I do not have a car but please do not be scared by estates. Ive looked on google map + its not very big. Ive postered a few estates in Roehampton, Battersea, Clapham, Lambeth + Brixton + have never had any trouble....had interested youths, people stop + chat + show concern + wish me luck. Please do not be afraid some very nice people live in estates. Dont be frightend by the archictecture. Also doggy people seem to get on with everyone so you are sort of neutral. Just smile + ask about. Dont forget the Safer Neighbourhood teams are cycling by .....try them + see if they can help. All you need is one neighbour to spot a new pup about. Good LuckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Caring Mummy @ 20:41 - 28/1/2008 WROTE - If anybody wants to or has time to spare the estate in South Wimbledon where she apparently is and where this youth lives is Priory Close, SW19 2TG. We have been told several house numbers throughout the conversations which we have had with these people who claim to have Mwana. Even if someone can put some posters up around the estate that might be a great help. I live in West Sussex but am willing to do anything and meet up to help someone put up the posters I am just a bit afraid to do it alone. My husband works full time running a business but he is working on a site across the road from where the estate is. He may also be able to take an hour out of his day to help with posters as it might be nice to have a man there for security etc. Thank you all for the support. We really do appreciate everything! We have not heard anything as yet from Wimbledon Police station. I went in there twice today and have called several times for updates but they have not been to the property to investigate as yet. I called again about 5 minutes ago and spoke a a very nice man who said he will ensure someone gives me a call this evening and he is sure that officers will go to the property this evening. We only spoke to the grandmother on the phone number the youth called us from earlier that evening. She would not open her front door or tell us exactly which flat was theirs. She sounded very affraid and said that her grandson is always in trouble but did confrim he had a puppy with him. I will be calling the police in an hour to check what the state of play is.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone! I went to the polic station this morning to file the report. They will be going to the address today and arresting the youth. The only thing is that the grandmother confirmed there was a puppy at her house with the youth earlier that evening... unless she is just as evil and in on the prank. Wimbledon Police have been great and will call me as soon as they have been to the property and an arrest is made. I will keep everyone updated. Regards, ClaireLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think it's more likely that they were looking for a reward....This also has been going on lately. There were quite a few episodes last year so I understand. People have snached dogs then approached owners for reward. I've been thinking about little Mawana all week end and I do hope the police at Wimbledon can find something out. This youth obviously knows something, lets hope something good in him will come out and that he tells you the truth. Hurry home little Mawana and keep your hopes high don't give up! God bless. caring mummy, Wimbledon Police have been very helpful historically with lost dogs. So sorry the prank calls have started. I'm afraid we do have many reports of sad people with no life who have nothing better to do. Strange that the grandmother said what she did though, maybe there is something in this report after all? Can only hope. Have you managed to get posters into the Raynes Park area as yet? Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We had a lead at 6pm tonight. I received a phone call from a youth who said he has Mwana. I got his address and we drove straight to the house which was on an estate in South Wimbledon. When we got there we called him to check exactly where on the estate the flat was. He told us but when we got to the front door nobody was home. We then phone the number again and the grandmother answered who said the youth had gone to the shops. She said he had bought a puppy to the house but she told him she won't have dogs in her home. She said that he then went out to the shops with a friend. We waited around for about an hour and there was still no sign of the youth so we decided to go to the local police station. They called the number and got hold of the youth who denied everything and that he had never called or spoken to us. The police will be going to the house to question the youth or any family member tonight and will call us straight away even if its late tonight. So we are waiting for a call. The police said if they don't find Mwana tonight then we need to go into the station in the morning to press charges and they will then arrest the youth. Thank you to Wimbledon police station for all their help. Lets all cross fingers and say our prayers that something comes of this. They did say though that they do get loads of pranks from that particular area and just turns out to be someone causing trouble for no particular reason. We are keeping our hopes up though!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

yes Id contact the builders...say that in previous cases of missing pups + it was the builders young labourers who just couldnt resist a young pup......+ say you just want the pup returned.......ask them to check vans, tools + equipment. Really it was their responsibility to make sure the job was done professionally. They shouldve kept doors + gates closed. A bit of polite pressure. good Luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

caring mummy I will find the details for the local papers and send them over to you. Also, I am able to get out tomorrow and poster around the sites I mentioned. You should direct your seach toward the Gap Road area of Wimbledon also and Colliers Wood. Keep calling Battersea every few days also. Cover Raynes Park, go back over the tram lines and cover that end of South Wimbledon, Dorset Road is a favourite cut through to Morden and there are some parks in that area. Also if you can, go on the tram and poster the tram stops, they lead right throught to Croydon another problem area for dog theft. Also ask at the station at South Wimbledon if you can put up a lost poster. If she was picked up she may have travelled on the train with the person. If you go there the same time of day she went missing you may get the same person on the ticket office. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If anyone is going to have a look around the travellers sites please let me know as I have no idea as to where they are and didn't even know there were any close to Wimbledon. This might be a good suggestion of Sue's as a little one so adorable as Mwana could easily have been picked up over the fence by someone walking past. Hi. I am Mwana's mother. We are desperate to get her back home safely. She is like a child to my husband and I (her name means baby in Shona the African language spoken in Zimbabwe where my husband grew up). She went missing yesterday 25th Jan at 9.30am from Kingston Road, South Wimbledon, London. She is only 8 weeks old and so tiny and helpless so please can you all help us by doing your best to find her. We actually live out in West Sussex but I am a housewife so have all the time in the world to be proactive in finding our little one. Please if anyone has any suggestions of places we should look please let me know. We have contacted all local vets, RSPCA, Battersea Dog & Cats Home, put flyers in all neighbouring post boxes and on car windscreens as well as on lamp posts, at bus stops and South Wimbledon Station. Please if anyone knows where or is going to the travellers sites like Sue suggested in her post can you let me know as I am wanting to come along and do all I can to find our little Mwana. Thank you to everyone for being so helpful. By reading all your notes of support give us both so much hope that the phone will ring and someone has found her. This is awful! I was so sorry to see this poster today. Just a thought I once lost a pet which managed to find its way under the floor and got into the foundations of the house I'm in Wimbledon too...Honest! it was by pure luck an electrician was doing some work in the house and had floorboards up. We had builders in at the time too, so have a good look around. I'll put some posters on Wimbledon Common. Good luck with this and Hurry home little one. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for good news about dear little Mwana very soon. God bless and Best wishesLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Come on people, lets get those posters up now we have the photo. As already stated, I have spoken to owner at length and they have done loads already. Battersea is a must for regular checks though, although she is such a distinctive little thing I'm sure they pick her out if she is brought in. Owner has printed off some 150 posters himself and distributed, but never too many up. Can we haead up toward Mitcham area, also with posters and our favourite travellers sites incase she has been picked up. Several in the vicinity. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If this litle one has wandered she's going to need to call upon her guardian angel to keep her safe from those roads. She went missing near to Wimbledon Park Station end of Kingston Road. Owner has builders in and out and she may have slipped out rather than been taken. House has been searched as I suggested she may have gone under floorboards or similar. Neighbours have all be alerted and gardens searched. Poster sup by owner already. Dog Warden aware, police aware, local vets aware. She may well be in somebodys hand bag and waiting for that person to call owner quickly. She went missing at about 9.30am this morning. Any of our Colliers Wood helpers could poster that would be great. If she is with someone they could be anywhere. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
