My ex husband led me to believe he had changed the details I only found out last night this hadn't happened. Harvey had his collar and tag on when he got out when I searched the park I found his collar but no tag. Police are involved and are coming out next Sunday. I have the chip paper for harvey and his vet details.

That is good news, thank you for the update. It’s so important to check your pets microchip registration is correct. An awful lot of owners are unaware this is now a legal requirement. The databases have be known to make mistakes too. It’s worth a phone call to double check.

Just seen this on Twitter:- Please make sure your pet's chip details are up to date. Harvey escaped and has been returned to someone who rehomed him years ago. They are now refusing to give him back to his family.

Microchips are pointless with the wrong info!
