- Yes it is awful when we lose a pet as they are part of the family. I had to have my cat pts aged 19. (We had her for 16 years) She died in my arms, It was awful. But I have put her on Cat Protection`s Wall of Memory online. I also have a Memory box for her too. At least you were able to lay her to rest, and she more than likely went peacefully in her sleep. (((HUGS))) xxx

- Thank you all x My precious Willow was found under a laurel hedge in a neighbours garden on 18/04/18. I believe he passed away peacefully in his sleep under that hedge on the day he went missing in November. The sheltered environment under the hedge had preserved him sufficiently for me to retrieve him and bring him home. Although I knew it was my beautiful boy I was able to scan him for complete certainty. My Willow is at peace now and although it is the saddest outcome... he is home x Thank you to everyone that shared my precious Willow 💔😥 x I am heartbroken

- Oh how sad! So sorry for your loss of Willow. It`s horrible when we lose a pet. My own elderly cat also died recently, so I know how you must feel. At least you can lay Willow to rest. Nightie, night, Willow., sleep tight, and have fun at the bridge with my cat who is waiting to play. RIP+ God Bless x A~~~Candle
~~~burns for Willow (HUG) X One day when the time is right, you will meet Willow at the bridge. Forever together. Now with the Angels.
You could if you wanted to, put Willow on Cat Protection¬s Wall of Memory, which I have done for my own cxat. It may help ease your pain. I also have a Memory box for her too. (((HUGS))) xLast edited: 2018-04-19 15:51:14 - 2018-04-04 20:18 Merlins mum
- Thank you all x I have put notes thru the whole of my street and several surrounding streets & working my way round the whole village.... 2 pple have msg'd me to say that they have checked, not in garage/shed and no delivery that day... it was a Sunday.. so I don't think there would have been many deliveries, so pple would remember I hope if they had a delivery that day x
- Hi, 80% of cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where they went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. Really hope Willow comes home soon, thinking of you
- It is always best to check outbuildings a second time because cats can stay very quiet, and still in certain circumstances. It has happened. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him: night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden/house. Empty the contents of the hoover on to the garden as his scent will be there. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Walja round the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and your are searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Also check behind hedges/bushes in case unwell. I found my missing cat like this when she was caught up in plastic shopping bag.. Is there a dominant cat in the area, as sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory. They usually return in a day or two. When looking use the same deodorant say, that you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent.. s you know with cats it is all about scent. Paws xd he is home very soon Last edited: 2017-11-27 16:24:56
