Hi Neil, thanks for the voicemail message....sorry I missed your call, was on the work phone! As always Doglost is extremely grateful for your continued support. You are correct, when Meka was found it was discovered that she was microchipped. Nic was unaware Meka was chipped when she got her (I believe she rehomed her) - she must have been chipped by previous owner/breeder and this wasn't communicated to Nic. Nook however was unfortunately not chipped when he went missing. Nic bred Nook (Meka is his mum). Thank you for your continued efforts. Nic - email me another photo of Nook and I can put it on site for you. We can hold 2 photos. If you want the one thats on here at present changed and replaced with another can do that too. i may be mistaken but wasn't there a reference to a microchip when the finder took mikka to a vet ? i  seem to remember them saying there was a chip in him but it referred to a breeder or prior owner ? or am i mistaken.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thanks neil for keeping an eye open for nook. sadly nook wasn't chipped when we lost him although thats not to say who ever has him has not got him chipped in the last 11 months. does anyone know how i can add some more photos on here just in case he comes in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If you have it, can you provide me with any microchip details when Nook was chipped.it doesnt matter if the owners details were not changed when he was bought or sold but would help me with my enquiries, thanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As the officer whose enquiries helped reunite mikka, I have been keeping an eye on this as I havn't forgotten Nook and will keep looking to find ways to help, I am today making efforts to get the Met police business assurance unit to incorporate the dog lost website into our call handling standard operating procedures, and as the website is already supported by kent police i am hopeful they will agree, and in future any calls received to the met police re lost/found dogs will be given advice on how  to access the website, At the moment callers of lost/found dogs are only referred to the council or rspca.!. i will update you in due course and hopefully before i go into hospital in january for another bone graft op....groan :(Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Found Husky on today's page.   Says microchipped but untraceable owners - could be that Nook was found, kept, chipped, and now out again?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think Nook has a whiter face than Zeke, having studied both photos.  Would be good to have an update from Nook’s mum, and also to hear how Mikka and the others are getting on. :o)

If there is anyone in the Harold Hill/Stapleford Abbots/Havering-atte-Bower area able to help with some postering for Nuk that would be great ? roads like Stapleford Rd/Havering Rd, Lower Bedfords Road, Noak Hill Road and Tysea Hill need covering. We need to cover the area Meka was found in.......Nuk is likely to be in a similar area and we need him home with his mum! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poor Nook and poor puppies. Hard task to keep seven puppies hand fed. Hope she and her very young son are home soon. In the meantime would get the gate fixed with a good strong lock. Stay safe Nook and Mikka. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Such a shame these two are missing, also it seems Mikka may be a little under par having had a son and pups just 7 months ago and is now got pups again in a short space of time, I do hope this little girl is not to weak to be able to survive. I hope they are found soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mikka and Nook escaped (via gate blown open by the wind) at 7am this morning. Owner has contacted the local police, battersea, local vets, kennels although at some no answer and will need to call on Monday (although hopefully they'll be home by then). She is going to contact the railway tomorrow. Gave owner several numbers for local DW's and kennels which she will call on Monday and advised other things to do. Owner has been out today postering locally. Poster like mad everyone - people won't have missed these 2 running through the area and Mikka has 7 2 week old puppies at home so we need to find Mikka and Nook asap. Stay safe. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
