RLO That is wonderful news. If not already done so I would have Mittens "Snipped, and chipped" as on average neutered cats tend to stay more "Homebound" Stay close now Mittens:-) Someone has probably been feeding him.

Hi, just to let you know, I did pop over around 4.30pm to have a look near the area where I had seen him last Thursday, but didn't see him....I only had half an hour and it wasn't the best time as the roads were quite busy....Having spoken with the skipper he also said the one we saw was a lot more black than white...there was definitely some white on the legs and on the face, but the majority was black...and as we went past on the boat, he squatted down and looked quite wary....it sounds like he could be Mittens....we just have to hope he is still in that area....x

Many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around the day you last saw him? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where they went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. Maybe your cat did this too. Time is of the essence now. Really hope you find Mittens soon. Thinking of you

I have shared with DL FB Page, Twitter & Public. I hope that Mittens is safely back at home soon.X
Raf
He may be hanging around the pub as it's easier to get food......worth talking to the pub manager as well asking them if they have seen him and to keep an eye....and maybe ask if they can display some leaflets/posters of Mittens in the pub....x

Raf. Sounds promising. Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Put some tuna or chickens in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the house/garden. Walk around the area (Near the canal maybe) holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies, Someone may be feeding him (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and your are searching use a strong torch/flashlight, as the light will reflect a cat`s eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. And ask around. Hope Mittens is home soon. Paws xd,

Is Mittens neutered?, If not may have gone seeking a female, and become disorientated, as they can go quite a way seeking a mate

Hi, I was on a canal boat on Thursday and there was a black and white cat, near the canal bridge by the Signal Box Pub (basically the bridge between the Mutual Tower and Gallagher Retail Park). I did make a comment to the skipper that he looked "out of place"; obviously it's hard to say whether it was mittens, but may be worth going near there and have a look. Hope you find him safe and well soon.x
