Fantastic news So happy for owner who must be so relieved to have Alfie home. Maybe had been locked in somewhere? I would keep Alfie in when dark because cats can`t see any better than we can (It`s a fallacy). though they can see better than us humans in semi-darkness. Stay close now Alfie (He probably will now)Last edited: 2017-12-03 21:16:55

Many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around the day you last saw him? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where they went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. Maybe your cat did this too. Time is of the essence now. Really hope you find Alfie soon. Thinking of you

Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars in case shut in. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as his scent will be there. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden/house. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Walk around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and your are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cat`s eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. and ask around Paws xd.
