Wondeful news and so lucky Gamora has successfully been found twice - It is imperative that her owner gets the broken fence replaced and better still if Gamora isn't left in the garden alone whilst her owner is at work...Hope Gamora stays safe xxLast edited: 2018-05-13 11:14:04 by Jaycey

....And me could not quite believe it when i saw in the blue....

I saw a post on a Northampton Selling Group on Facebook. A chap was asking if anyone had lost a large brindle dog near Overstone golf as a dog had been sighted. It looks like some brilliant folks went out and rescued her.
NickyB
BRILLIANT BUT I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW WHEN WHERE WHO FOUND HER
Georgy Porgy
Glad she's safe X

Thank you both, any help getting posters up in this area will be great in the hope of getting sightings reported, we will need help from someone in the area establishing a feeding station once her route is identified if this is Gamora x
Georgy Porgy
Have emailed poster to friend who lives at Overstone Park.
JAY D
There have been two possible sightings one today 9th & one previous at the Overstone Golf Course. A mmember of the group I shared Gamora's poster to has spoken with the receptionist. She thinks it could be her due the description of the ears. Owners have been made aware via text by a neighbour.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Thank you both & for the info, owner is aware of a sighting on Saturday but none have been reported since, however when she was previously out we had numerous sightings reported daily so we are judging by her previous behaviour, we have main contact number as Doglost HQ to ensure that we get timely & accurate info but there have been no sightings since reported to us, Dog warden or Police who are also aware that Gamora is missing & we are directly in contact with them. A sighting will be needed to request a drone to come out, if anyone is able to help with postering this would be great thank you x
Georgy Porgy
I think that's a very good suggestion to try a drone. I live nn7 so don't know this area too well but hopefully people will be out this weekend being B/H. Just concerns me that looking like she does people will be afraid to help her & may not know where to contact if they do see her. Really needs owner/friends, people she is familiar with to get out there & poster & search if not already being done. Farmers will not be happy to see a dog like this if they have livestock. Amendment to previous comment: Fence has a large hole at the bottom & two bins were in place covering it.
JAY D
Lisa, not sure you know but there were two sightings on the day. Owner has been made aware of them by a neighbour. The fence wasn't down it had two large holes with bins in front, Gamora got through them. A bit of info on the possible route she took (copied) "If she went left out of Sheldon Close and then crossed the A5076..... Which would only take her 10 mins or so to do that.... The other side of that main road is just endless countryside which could explain why no sightings hun. Not uncommon for no sightings in areas like this for days. And if nobody out searching or postering then that's why she hasn't been seen. Maybe the drone group could help by flying drone over the open fields xx

There have been no sightings reported at all, have advised owner to report to Police incase she has been taken x
Georgy Porgy
Any sightings yet please? Have posters been put up around home area yet? Last time she went off to Overstone, Moulton Park & Parklands area.

Gamora's owner returned home from work on Saturday to find the fence broken & Gamora gone. They presumed that Gamora had escpaed, however there have been no sightings of her since so it cant be ruled out that she may have been taken x

I have already printed some posters to put up in Parklands today. She seemed to know where she was going and Moulton Park is next to Parklands.

Hi Sportyspice59 that will be a great help, thank you very much x
Sportyspice59
Morning all, hope she is reunited soon. I work at Moilton Park so will keep my eyes open and also I am going to try and get a poster put up round there too x
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Yes please if anyone is able to poster Moulton Park & surrounding areas as well as areas previously sighted, I cannot stress how important this is, even if people don't have much time perhaps put one up at your place of work, at your children's school, local gym, local petrol station, shop etc, if you are in the area, wherever you are going in your day to day routine please do take a poster! I appreciate not everyone has time to spend pestering large areas but every single poster put up helps x
Georgy Porgy
June cannot see Davis Avenue on map for Parklands? Had a drive round SpinneyHill Rd area tonight & Lorraine Cresc no sightings or posters visible. Also tried Moulton Park but complete nightmare as was rush hour & I don't know way round there anyway. As requested by Lisa P is anyone local able to poster sighted areas? I am some distance away in NN7 & not familiar with these places.
Georgy Porgy
Be good if she could be confined in any gated premises there. Poor dog she's covering a lot of ground.
June
It is Moulton Park.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Sighted 1/2 hour ago Tenter Road, Malton Park.
June
I saw a dog exactly like Gamora in Parklands at midday. Came up Davis Avenue at steady run and turned towards the football fields . She’d disappeared by the time I got out the car for a picture. I rang mobile but it went to voice mail. At that speed she could cover a lot of ground very quickly.
Georgy Porgy
Don't like this it's all gone quiet. Any further sightings or postings anywhere? I'm not on Facebook

Thank you both x

Thank you
ClaireC
Jo I’m positive that Lisa would not mind you copying. The more people that are aware the better the chance of getting her to safety. Thank you.
Jo Fuller
Hi Lisa, would you mind if I copy the text below and add it to Gamoras post on our L&F group on Facebook?
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
To summarise how people can help, POSTERS are urgently needed in & around areas of all sightings, there are some up already that helpers have kindly assisted with, however it is really important that as many people as possible know who to contact if they see her. Please if you see Gamora do not approach or chase her, she has been running scared since Christmas Day & she will just run & it is important that we try to keep her in the same area, please call the number on the poster with an EXACT location & direction of travel if she was running as well as the time. Please DO NOT leave food out for Gamora, we are trying to establish a feeding station & this will be compromised if she has many sources of food. Finally, please be reassured that Ray Dedicoat is on standby & will come out to trap her once we are ready for this x
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Sighter is driving around the area now and will call in if sighted again.
Georgy Porgy
Could be Gamorra as not too far from Sywell/Overstone for a big dog to go across fields to Kettering Rd. Is owner able to go & check it out?
There is a Vet hospital called Spinney Lodge just a bit further down the Kettering Rd if could be caughtLast edited: 2018-01-02 22:39:41 by Georgy Porgy

Just incase anyone is missing:
Large brindle dog seen (Great Dane size?) running around Lorraine Crescent off the Kettering Road tonight at around 19:30. Tried calling but ran away out of view towards the main road.
I did not want to chase as was worried about him running into traffic. I believe he may have been wearing a chain collar.

I have checked the fb group mentioned, there are no new sightings reported that I can see, only those over the weekend x

Please see posting on Horsforth Park Dog Bull Breed Dog, I'm sure they have posted a photo of Gamora seen in the Ecton Lane area of Sywell in Northamptonshire running loose since before CHristmas. I have made a note of the DogLost posting on their site and am doing the same for you. Please keep us posted because I think it is the same dog.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
It is important that people don't leave food out for her please as this will compromise the feeding station & jeopardise safe capture x
Georgy Porgy
Do you know if food has been left at places sighted & whether owner has had sight of her yet? I know Ray is the best, my worry is whether she can find any food left for her as the areas seen are rural fields I believe.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Gamora's owner is back at work & unable to take calls, if anyone has sightings or any other info to report, please call HQ in the first instance on 01633 673859, we can then ensure that no info is missed & get in a position for Ray to come out as soon as possible x
ClaireC
Ray is the best. Thank you for your kind wishes.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Georgy Porgy, Ray is hugely experienced & will be the best route for safe capture of Gamora, owner has all info & knows what they need to be doing in order for Ray to come out to trap x
Georgy Porgy
Reading the public posts on Nanna lost & found seems owner is struggling to find the areas she is being seen in. Feel it is urgent that expertise is needed here.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Thank you Ray as always, much appreciated x

CLAIRE-C happy new year!! If these good people can get a feed pattern set up where she has been seen more than once, ie a gateway or field I can be there in just under an hour, with one of my new 14ft x 12ft compound traps..good luck Ray.

It’s very close to the border between councils so we’ll worth contacting Wellingboroughs dog warden as well as Northampton’s Forest Lodge dog pound
