Well done Tracey with your new little one, he has landed on all four paws :) Best of luck for you both and it certainly sounds as if Ollie has settled really well already bless him xx
Tracey
Well finally went to collect Ollie from Godmanchester today. He has settled in very well this evening following me from 1 room to another. He definatley likes the sofa. He seems a bit calmer from when i first met him a couple of wks ago. He is a bit wary an skittish when u walk towards him but when u walk away from him he follows you. He has eaten some Hills science plan soft food. Has i write this paragraph he is asleep nx to me on sofa on his back lol. It was the 27th of dec i had my late barney german spitz put to sleep at the age of 14 an i picked Ollie up today the 27th so i have decided that will be his birthday. I think he will enjoy the luxury life style 😊 i cant find a option to upload a photo but he dosent look sad or unhappy anymore.Last edited: 2018-01-27 23:52:41 by Tracey

Bless you Tracey and ?

Update Little legs picked up kennel cough along with sickness and diarrhoea but he has been on medication for that. He was supposed to be neutered, decidious teeth out and hair cut Thursday 18th but when I telephoned yesterday the 19th the vet had rung in sick so little one is due to be rescheduled for tues so I have to ring up weds. So I am hoping to make the 4hr 20 mins round trip to fetch him nx weekend. I already have a large crate where I am going to make a safe haven for him and also a medium size crate to keep him safe on the car journey. I've given some thought to his name I'm not quite decided 100% on Henry as a name yet . Im also thinking of Ollie and Bailey . I will put a update on nx wk Last edited: 2018-01-20 23:14:22 by Tracey

Is tomorrow going to be the big day for Henry? Hoping if it is all goes well I too would suggest two leads on to start with. If no Dog Crate in the car please attach Henry to a seat belt as I know how very skitish and fast moving a frightend unsure dog can be when a car door is openened and the dog is loose.
I am sure as said the rescue will give you lots af advice so ignore me if I am being ott.
Good luck to you both bless you and Henry xxxx
Holly
So lovely to know that Henry has a second chance, I’m sure with some tlc he will become braver. Wishing you and Henry well in your new life together

Congrats Tracey on your adoption. Look perhaps at getting him perfect fit harness or one of the Ruffwear ones - I’d also suggest a tracker on his collar for the first few months and perhaps walk the same route every day for the first few weeks so he knows his way home if anything happens. I’m sure the adoption centre gave you a huge list of advice so ignore as required my suggestions. Hope you have a long happy life together.

Ahhh! So pleased for you and Henry! A few weeks with you I'm sure he will gain his confidence and love his life again. Bet you cant wait until you get him home with you. Good luck to you both, I'm sure you'll have a happy time together. Love Mel xxx Ps perhaps an update picture when you get him homexcc
Tracey
Update. I went to Cambridge weds 10th and met the little one. Good news he is coming to a new home with me. He is very worried, unsure an scared of the world. I took him for a little walk which he seemed to like to sniff the grass but a bit skittish when my handbag moved. He obviously has had no socialisation with anything. He snapped at the vet when it became instrusive. All is undercoat is in knots. He was scared of the clippers from a distance so when they neuter him they will have to cut all his coat off. Eventually I picked him up an he seemed quite content. So because my home is quiet no kids and I live in a cul de sac my home will suit his needs and hopefully his little personality an confidence will grow. If all well I hope to get him on the 20th Jan. I think I will call him Henry . I might by him a pet mobile pushchair so he feels safe when I start to introduce him to the world
Mel
Good luck Tracey - hopefully a perfect match! Love Mel xxx

Update. I have had the initial discussion with the Rescue centre and I am making the 2hr 12min journey tomorrow to meet him. He has to have a few deciduous teeth removed, neutering done, an his coat is all mattered underneath before he can be rehomed. Got to take identification with me too.

Looks like he needs a lot of love . I recently lost my German spitz to the Rainbow Bridge so I have a lot of love to give to this little boy. I'm so interested to adopt this little lad if he comes up for adoption. I have 28yrs experience looking after spitz/poms breeds. He would be given a fantastic home an life.

The dog has been taken to a rescue centre and is being assessed by a vet. He is only young, 1 or 2 years old. If he is not claimed within 7days, he will be rehomed.
SimonH
He will be rehomed
Peggotty
obviously not claimed yet? What will happen to him if he isn't?
