Today, 5 January 2018, is the EIGHTH DAY Roxy has been missing.....WITH NO SIGHTINGS. Family are desperate to find her. If you see her please please do not chase her as she will be frightened and disorientated. She may well have taken refuge in outbuildings so we are asking all local people to check their sheds, garages and outbuidings, hence the local leaflet drop. Please call above telephone numbers or 07771 716742 my mobile as I am also local and have been involved with the search since day one. Thank you.Last edited: 2018-01-05 11:28:54 by hobbs

We are again concentrating our searches around the Overscourt Woods area and across the fields to the rear which include Gibbs Lane (road by Syston Church Hall) and Chesley Hill and Lodge Road in Wick which run directly behind the woods at the top of Lodge Road. Leaflets have been distributed in Chesley Hil and Lodge Road with more required today. Further leaflets in Gibbs Lane and in local public houses will also be dealt with today.

The possible sighting of Roxy in Winterbourne has now been ruled out. A lady came forward to advise it was a neighbours dog that had gone missing and has since been reunited.

Possible sighting of Roxy in Winterbourne on the afternoon she went missing, cannot be ruled out. Four hours later at crossroads in Winterbourne/Church Road/garage towards Yate. Man stopped a white small car (possibly aygo or c1) and was last seen checking her collar for a tag. No tag however as this fell off days before. Vets & dog wardens will be check in surrounding areas tomorrow.

Poster updated with microchip details. All local and surrounding area Dog wardens/rspcas/kennels and local vets have been called and alerted. Microchip company now alerted too.

Several wonderful people have been looking in Overscourt Woods where Roxy went missing after chasing a deer and we need to keep checking rabbit holes etc in case she is stuck. Others have walked (Like I have) across Syston and on Rodway Common and these people have also kindly put up posters.
hobbs
Previously put up posters in plastic sleeves on Syston. Today will replace some of those due to rain, and also have further posters to put up in vets, doctors surgeries and post offices in Pucklechurch, Wick, Oldland and Bitton areas.Last edited: 2018-01-05 11:27:43 by hobbs

Walked from top of Oakdale Avenue in Pucklechurch yesterday late morning through track to Abson and able to look across fields towards Syston, no sightings. Spoke to several ladies with horses whilst out and locals and some already knew about Roxy are are also looking.

Just got back after searching for a couple of hours Overscourt Woods. Concentrated behind the house which has loads of brambles and places she could have got caught on her collar but no luck. Lots of burrows - foxes, badgers, etc. Have put laminated posters up and there were other walkers who knew about her already and were looking.
Jill
Just walked Webbs Heath side of Overscourt Woods, no sign of her.
