Ideas for Cheeky Claire You could google lurcher clubs and there are loads - they could email posters out to everyone who has email addies showing, plus the secretaries, and web masters, and ask to have the photo on their web sites.

Sporting papers and magazines could be contacted. You could google all these up. If you look at the links on each web site - usually gives you a load more ideas.

Try all the Travellers liaison officers. this is a massive  job - means trawling the council web sites for email addies, but certaintly worth a go.
Hope that helps and good luck.x

I am around tomorrow to help look - anyone know Peanuts last sighting? Might be an idea to contact Barry Jordan- Davis (barry.jordan.davis@hants.gov.uk) Hampshire CC Travellers Liasion Officer (though the wonderful Basingstoke DW has probably already done so), also Ron Mason at Test Valley Council (rmason@testvalley.gov.uk), he circulated Maggie's details far and wide for me. There are loads of Free-Ads papers to put him in around Reading/Basingstoke. Fingers crossed for you Peanute, stay safeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Corbiere. If you look at my post below you will see that I ed postcodes for where Peanut has been seen. Tadley, which is postcode RG21 and then the latest sighting was in Mortimer which is postcode RG7. Tadley is to the south and Mortimer is to the east of Beenham. RG7 seems to cover a large area and a number of villages. Hope this helps.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Caninepartner - very interesting. It might be a good idea for owner to contact the Reading Council's Gypsey & Traveller Liaison officer either by phone 0118 939 0900 x 4833, or completing their on-line service contact us form to let them have details of Peanut. The more eyes the better.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Has Newbury Dog Warden been notified too? She usually comes out to Mortimer and surrounding woods. I walk there every day so will keep looking out. Travellers' camp nearby so might be worth asking them if they have seen him around. Fingers crossedxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a read through this thread. Can owner confirm that Reading, Wokingham and Basingstoke dog wardens have all been notified and also update on where has been posted. Also, looking at a map it looks as though Peanut might be trying to head back towards home after sighting at Tadley RG26 but going too far east to Mortimer area RG7. I'm rather stuck at the moment - new printer that won't print and a computer that is coming out in sympathy with the printer - but will ask husband to keep his eyes open as he sometimes drives in that direction. Also, believe there is a riding club in Mortimer. Might be worth sending them posters as they will probably have people out and about and can spread the word. Good luck and I hope Peanut is found safe and well very soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
