I am so very, very sorry. The worst way to loose a pet. I will take down any posters I see. You worked so hard to find him.
Gjanman
Thank you all For your kind words everyone - naturally we are devastated but better to know than to be always searching. We've had the most amazing and overwhelming response, help and support from such kind and lovely people. It all helps at this awful time. We all have wonderful memories of Buster, we'll treasure those and know he has his wish to run free xxx I officially hate fireworks now xxx

A very sad update on his page:

Buster died on New Year's Day - hit in Chessington at around 12:30am (so shortly after he got away) and East Molesey vets have had him ever since. Thank you for all your help and support xxx

Run free sweet Buster. My deepest condolescences to your family x
nalamissing
Might also be worth putting in other info asking people to check behind/under sheds and decking in case he has got himself stuck.
nalamissing
Is it possible to put the link to his Facebook page so it appears on the poster?
Has he been posted to the harveys army south Facebook page? And vets get scanning?
Skywalker99
Traveller liaison will put the word out on traveller sites locally in case he has ended up on one of them.
Gjanman
Thank you - sent Rafiki an email, although that makes me very sad that they've not been reunited :-(

I left a message for pet detective but unfortunately no response. Have just emailed just in case.

Nina - yes got the French chip linked to UK via Petlog and they send the missing dog message to a 30mile radius of animal professionals, police & council etc.

What is the travelled liaison for the council? What can they do?
DogLostNina
Just a thought have you told the microchip company that he is missing
Skywalker99
try www.thepetdetectives.com, also monitor the selling sites (gumtree, preloved, petrs4homes, dragon driving etc.) Have you contacted traveller liaison for the council?

I would also contact Rafiki's FB page and ask them to share, poor Rafiki went missing about 6 weeks after arriving in the UK

cross posting from his page:

Activity Update

- So much social media sharing - thank you all we are now on so many local & surrounding sites - but more the merrier if you can think of more!
- Getting the chip changed to UK & lost message dispersed to 30mile radius of police, councils, vets & kennels etc - we tested it with Nonsuch to check this had worked!
- Door knocking (Seaforth & Newbury)
- 500 Leaflets drop (Seaforth, Newbury, Amberley, Thorndon, Walsingham, Ravensfield, Cuda's)
- Posters (Auriol Park & Cafe, Nonsuch Park, Cheam Park, Cheam Common, Auriol School, Mead & Sparrow, Seaforth, Newbury, Amberley, Vale Rd (inc Vets, Pet Shop & Williw Tree Pub), Stoneleigh Park Rd, Androssan Gardens, Kinross, Cattle Arch - both sides, Rosedale, Richlands, Gayfere, Woodstone, The Glade, Briarwood, The Dells, Stoneleigh Station (both sides), The Stoneleigh Pub, Broadway (Co-op, Sainsburys, News Agent & Pet Shop) and various others where people may have been helping out) - we still need more so if you can, please print poster from DogLost and distribute/put up
- Daily warden contact (ours and other local boroughs)
- Network rail logged (no incident ms reported)
- Surrey & met police logged (no incidents reported)
- Radio Jackie & Heart requests
- DogLost, AnimalSearch, Critters, SDK & Pets Located (RSPCA) either logged or monitoring
- Battersea logged and other kennels been called as well as local vets (and wider areas)
- Lots of weird and whacky ideas to lure buster back (bbqs, food in tights hanging from trees, spraying perfume nearby the house, leaving our dirty laundry out, leaving his bed out, trawling the streets whistling & calling etc)
- Speaking to various tracers/trackers or attempting to find pet detectives

I've probably missed some but seriously a huge, huge thank you to all for your help, support and suggestions!Last edited: 2018-01-06 14:23:53

Thank you so much nalamissing - you've been amazing! Pictures above also much clearer!
nalamissing
I have given Buster's poster to Pets Place in Worcester park, they will put it up. they had heard about Buster but just today. They told me they had a customer whose dog went missing for five years and was reunited via its chip! I'll try and take another one in when the image is changed.
Gjanman
Thanks Nalamissing - have emailed the request!
nalamissing
Could top image be changed to one the ones on his page that shows his white chest...I think would look better on poster??
DogLostNina
The scenting method is a good way of getting dogs back but beare in mind if it rains you will have to repeat scenting again...keep drinking Don't forget posters in Cheam village dogs cant easily cut across Nonsuch ParkLast edited: 2018-01-04 22:00:33 by Nina

Waitrose Worcester park would be a good place to poster, pets place on central road Worcester park too. Definitely do the urine thing, think I saw something on his doglost Surrey FB post advising you to owe in the garden :)
Gjanman
Thanks Nina! Nonsuch, Cuddington, The Broadway yes - railway yes both sides. Not North Cheam or Morden. Got the plastic wallets (upside down to stop rain) but have been pinning them up. Will do post boxes - great idea!! We've done taxis but not dog bins.

Interesting idea about urine scents. We've been leaving our worm clothes out. Slung tights with dog food in near home, sprayed my perfume on the tree outside etc. bedding secure.

Thank you x
DogLostNina
Just thought has anyone offered advice about the scenting method. You leave a trail of urine sprinkled any route you choose back to your house this can also be done with cut up small pieces of unwashed socks or clothing...just leave a traqil. Also leave bediing or clothes in a secure area just in case buster can get a scent of you.....sorry about spelling my fingers cant keep up with my thoughts.
DogLostNina
I used to live in Stoneleigh so know the area very well. Have you postered Nonsuch Park and gone down to Morden Park. I am sure you have left posters both side of the railway bridge. Put posters in post boxes for post men to take back to the sorting office. Has North Cheam been postered. Always try and used plastic wallets bought cheaply at pound land to protect the posters and use gaffer tape rather than drawing pins. Cotact local taxi firms and poster dog binsLast edited: 2018-01-04 19:58:54 by Nina

Thanks Nina - we've done the local schools as well - haven't popped by to check they're up but we are off to put up some more locally now so might check!
Gjanman
Hello 'nalamissing' - the more help we get the better. We're all back at work so limited time. Off out for Buster watch and more posters now. The sighting over the other side of the railway was false. However we've continued that side with posters - today my Mum & Stepdaughter did Rosedale, Gayfere, Woodstone, Briarwood, The Glade & the Dells - any help you can offer is much appreciated!!!
DogLostNina
Drop posters off at local schools and colleges...kids don't miss a thing especially if you offer a reward towards school funds
nalamissing
Also, I am fairly certain that Bridgewood Road and Stoneleigh Avenues have tracks along the backs of the houses which can be accessed at intervals (there is access for garages etc), he could be hiding there. If it was him in Richlands he has crossed the railway line.
nalamissing
I drove down Woodstone Road this afternoon, saw the poster at the top on the corner with Sparrow Farm Road but not many down the road, do Richlands, gayfere and Rosedale need postering? Has Cuddington Rec been postered? I live in Dalmeny Road, I will try and put some up tomorrow but am confined to the house waiting for a delivery most of the day...
Gjanman
Cross posting from Buster's facebook page: possible sighting "I’m Sure he is the dog in my street in Richlands Avenue and then he went down Rosedale Road
He very nervous and ran off towards the Broadway" "Monday but I could not get him
He ran from me

Possible sighting in 70-80 Seaforth Gardens - Monday Evening - in back garden - homeowner thought it strange he didn't look like a fox, expressed "what is that" and went to grab her glasses but it was gone... Definitely not a fox (they get lots of them) and it was very clear it wasn't a fox (hence grabbing glasses!!) - please urge all local residents to look!! Xx
