*FOUND* 5/1/18
ARCHIE HAS BEEN FOUND!!!
After a sighting last night in the Widemouth Bay Caravan Park my partner drove back down to Cornwall in the early hours this morning and managed to catch him.
He appears to be ok other than a bit shaken and cold but we will get him checked out by the vet later once he has recovered from the initial shock.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the overwhelming support, help and advice you have all given us over the last 4 days, it has been one of the hardest times but knowing so many people have been looking out for him has made it less difficult to handle.

Hi There has been a possible sighting of Archie in the Bude Business park area along the A39 near the new housing estate approximately 1 hour ago if anyone is in the area could you please keep an eye out for him as he may well be looking for food. Thank you

Hi, we will probably be walking in that area on Saturday so will certainly keep a look out. It's a pity there haven't been any more recent sightings though as it would narrow the area down quite a bit. Just a thought but have local vets got a poster? I always notice these whenever I go in ours and make a mental note of description and area lost in case I should spot the animal or meet someone who has.

Thank you so much for helping to look for my boy!
We spent yesterday putting as many posters out as possible and trying to tell as many people as we could. Unfortunately I have now had to return home with no luck of finding him.
A friend who lives in the area is going to go around the farms tomorrow with posters as there is a good chance he is hiding somewhere out on one of their land especially with the bad weather we had.
He was a stray when we rescued him 2 years ago and managed to avoid capture for quite some time so he is practiced at hiding which is probably why we have not had any sightings in 2 days, there is also a chance he has traveled much further than we originally thought.

Hello. Yesterday, Wednesday, we checked all the way from Black Rock to Dizzard and inland to Marhamchurch. We spoke to people on Blackrock beach, spreading the word. Some were already aware of Archie being missing. I’ve put posters up on my car windows and I’ve seen posters up in the vicinity of Black Rock.
We’ll be out again today looking for him.
Can you let me know please where the posters were printed/laminated? As my printer is out of ink and I could get some more done.

If anyone does decide to help out over the next few days, there are a lot of outlying houses along those lanes and on up towards the A39 (Atlantic Highway). It's a thankless task in this weather but letter-boxing can be very successful. So many people don't keep up with FB, or certain pages, or even DogLost and simply don't know he's so close by. Just want to stress not to chase or spook, just stay low if near, be calm, and if he doesn't respond well try to watch his movements.

Met up with Karlie early this morning. She had already been around the caravan park with her friend Alex and we decided to split up so they could go and get some posters printed. Haven't been ablt to contact them since. I drove the lanes toward Crackington, then slowly around the caravan park again. Wind so high he probably wouldn't have heard anyway. Almost too strong to stand up at times. Archie is probably laying low after such a severe storm last night and this morning. Checked hedgerows and scanned fields. Spoke to everyone I met and also a postie at Poundstock who took details and forwarded them to three others around Bude and Widemouth. Went into The Wier at Whalesborough, they will also keep a look out and will be aware now if a customer mentions seeing him. Back to the car park for a while but nothing. Posters are very much needed both put up and in letterboxes if possible. Karlie is having to leave today, but Alex is local and we have exchanged numbers, but neither of us can do much until Saturday, so any local help would be very much appreciated. Karlie says Archie can be nervous but is friendly and not a hunter at all, so aggression (other than frightening him) shouldn't be a problem. He was taken on by Karlie two years ago after he had been a lost dog for a few weeks in the wild, he survived then so at least he knows the ropes, and we know he is out there with a couple of sightings.

Fergal I have screen shot your advice and posted it on doglost Facebook page for Archie. It looks like owners are leaving tomorrow so any help would be much appreciated. It may be best to contact Karlie directly with the offer of help.

Karlie. I hope you have had some luck today. If not is is possible you could park your car where you had it when you took him to the beach and leave the door open with his blanket/bed inside (or boot if that is where he goes)? Obviously take out any valuables. Also have you searched under the caravans, and in the hedgerows, on the caravan park where he was sighted this morning, and cover the park with posters to alert anyone there he is being searched for. I have looked at some webcams but not much use really. Does he respond to a whistle or certain noise other than calling his name? Shout if you need some help (Max and Geoff have my number), unfortunately I am only about tomorrow (Wednesday) now. Good luck x

From Karlie this morning: "We have had a possible sighting at 8.45am along the coastal path between Black Rock Beach and Widemouth Manor. Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to be in that area now so if anyone has any further sightings it would be much appreciated.
