So sorry to read this news. At least you have closure now and he wouldn’t have suffered. My thoughts with his family. RIP beautiful collie Scout x x

It was the weir in flood that took him, and kept him for so long. A slight comfort that even if we'd seen it happen we couldn't have done anything. He hated water too and usually kept well away. RIP baby boy.

I have just seen on Scout's Facebook page that he has been found deceased this morning. Our sympathies to his people and to everyone who tried so hard to find him.

Nearly 4 weeks and with no sightings despite extensive area coverage including Kerbside and river, believe Scout to have been STOLEN, either deliberately or by neglecting to report a stray.
Kazmustell
Thanks Jan and Kieron! It's a long wait for news. Thunderclap on social media due in a couple of days to try raise profile.

We need to reach those kindly individuals who take in a stray without getting it checked for a chip!

Also the petlog premium call to vets.went out 10 days late due to a "bug" in their web page which despite offering premium on same page as a report missing, if you do it in an upset state and respond in wrong order it doesn't do the vet and warden messaging!! Something for other panicking pet owners to be aware of!

Possible sighting Scout!! USHAW MOOR AREA.

Friend says she remembers seeing a black collie looking terrified beside the track leading up from the broompark to esh winning bridleway Tuesday evening! That's the one coming up to the Ushaw moor road near the deerness sports centre. She'd assumed there was someone following on the track. If anyone knows who that was and can cancel this let me know asap.
It's the only possible sighting and it's pre storm but even so....
