Its almost a year since Meekah was stolen. Text sent to owner asking for any updates. Meekah is still missing, owners have given up searching for this little one and have resigned themselves to never getting her home.

Thanks Glynafon but I think theres too much white on chest, apparently Meekahs white on chest is barely noticeable, will pass on to owners to check themselves though, thanks again.

It is Selby Game Fair at Carlton Towers this weekend - 21/22/23/24 March - very popular with lots of dog people from a wide area - it must be worth getting some posters there or a stand with all the missing dogs on or something. Thanks for that ANWI, unfortunately its not Meekah as the found dog has white on back right paw, Meekah's only white (paw wise) is on her back left paw and only on one toe, I appreciate you alerting me to the found dog though, its good to know others are keeping their eyes peeled, thanks again. Debbi-Jayne - know exactly what you mean, following them is probably the best idea. Could always get into conversation with them - admiring the dog and gleam a bit more info about where they got the dog, etc. My prob is that I always seem to be in the car and drive too slowly for the person behind me while getting a better look LOL

Hi hopeithelps, thanks, I've been out and about today looking at EVERYONE with dogs, its terrible, I can't help myself, I have a funny feeling someone has her and my biggest worry is actually seeing her being walked by someone, what do you do?, my gut reaction would be to challenge them but on the other hand thats not such a good idea these days is it?, anyone my cunning plan is to discretely follow them and see where they take her, just call me detective Deb from now on lol.

Just a quick update.........flyers have gone out to various parts of Goole, posters at vets, dog sanctuary, pubs, advert in PO, advertised on preloved, friends/family keeping eyes and ears open, still waiting for owners to collect flyers and posters, have text them relevant numbers given to pass on, not much more I can do on my own except continue with flyers, not many helpers registered in this area it seems, going to have to try and get the word out about doglost, please god the owners collect these flyers soon, they need to get working in their area, the longer its left the longer little Meekah will stay missing. I have been told its not Pixie but a dog was found today in Wesley Square in Goole, the guy that has the dog can be contacted on 01757 288218

Well I'm not sure what I've been doing wrong today but everytime I've tried to open doglost I've had an undergoing maintainance message come up, its still coming up now but I've managed to get on through my history, oh well, anyway, spoke to owner today, coming to mine tomorrow to pick up flyers and posters I've printed for them, told them they need to make her too hot to want, I've been putting flyers through doors this evening, that includes flyers of Pixie too, son will do some more tomorrow, thanks Glenys & purple.

hi my mum lives in hull and is a district midwife for hull royal infirmary so she goes to alot of houses and also there are her collegues covering a wide range of arears through out hull and surrounding arears, if it helps you could send me details and i will forward to my mum?

Hi hopeithelps, thanks for keeping a look out, yep Goole is East Riding, will forward all the numbers, its looking like she was taken, the garden is completely fenced and gate was shut apparently, I've sent posters to some local pubs, you know the sort, "anyone wanna buy a staffie for 50 quid" type place, I need to maybe meet the owners or get the address so I can give them some posters and flyers to distribute in Old Goole as I don't go there often, have also put an ad in the local PO for the next 4 weeks, Vermuyden vets have one and emailed one to Jerry Green dog sanctuary, was going to get some flyers out but haven't had time so will have to leave that till tomorrow, thanks again hopeithelps. Meant to say ER DW has a website with strays on - as far as I can it is updated once a week - last updated 31/01 - couldnt see Meekah on it but the last dog on it was found 29/01 so Meekah could have just missed last update. Just detoured through Goole on way home looking for Pixie and Meekah but no joy ( got hopelessly lost ? didn?t realise Goole was so big!) It is probably a good idea if the owners contacted Pixie?s owners if they haven?t already ? she will know all the local DW and kennel no.s If not already done so then owners prob need to contact the East Riding DW as Goole is technically in E Yorkshire (think that?s right isn't it Debbi_Jayne?) Contact no - Tel: 01482 396301 & Fax: 01482 396191. Dogs then go to Leconfield kennels which is north of Beverley, therefore some distance from Goole ? contact details - opening hours are 08:30 - 17:30 Mon-Fri & 08:30 - 15:30 Sat, Sun & Bank Holidays. They are closed to the public on Chistmas Day, Boxing Day & new Years Day. Telephone 01964 551351. Debbi_Jayne are you in regular contact with owners ? could you give them the above info or shall I contact them? Did Meekah escape from garden or was she taken - if so traveller sites may need visiting - I know there is one near Thorne near the M62 and one at Burn near Selby - think Pixie's owner mentioned another

Owner has just phoned me, the only pic he has of Meekah is when she was very young, I've asked him to text it to me anyway and as soon as it comes through I'll send it in, apparently, the white on her chest is very very small, hardly noticeable and her white toe is on her back left paw.

Morning Jan, have sent another text this morning asking for a more precise description of Meeka so I can hunt around for a pic of a similar dog, as of yet they haven't replied, they don't have internet access so I'm relying on them to keep in touch with me and help me out a bit. I don't know them personally but saw a piece in the local paper about Meekah and sent a text to the contact number telling them about doglost, they replied that they couldn't access the internet so I offered to get Meekah on here for them, Meekah was bought for their young son who is understandabley upset that his playmate has gone, all I know is Meekah is all black with a white chest (large patch of white or small?) and one white toe but as soon as the owners let me have a better description I'll find a similar dog.
