Not the sort of thing you'd expect to hear of in Kingston. Quite worrying and maybe it wouldn't hurt owner to try and get this in the press to warn other owners? Definitely a need for a security bolt / padlock and flood lighting as deterent. Hope he forgets his ordeal quickly. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't suppose for one moment there could be any CCTV footage anywhere near where he was taken that might show him with the thieves??...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It seems that Harvey is a very lucky boy to be brought back to the garden. I hope he recovers fully. Keep him safe. There are so many wicked people about these days. Stay safe Harvey xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so very sorry for what has happened to Harvey. It is barbaric. Poor boy. I shake my head with sadness at what people think they can do to dogs let alone steal other peoples and use them in this way? Disgusting!!!I am so glad though that he is back home with you. I am glad they found it with whatever conscience (if any) to return him! Alot of TLC bless him... Hugs and kisses from me..I hope he recovers quickly and i pray that he will not be emotionally scarred because this would be awlful as he is still a youngster, i hope the people responsible are caught and convicted of animal cruelty with extreme charges or sentenced. Take care sweet harvey..xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

granitecitygirl, you are absolutely right, we have to go to the top to get any convictions, always have done, I think the RSPCA could be interested in this case, they do quite a bit re dog fighting, and yes sadly it looks as if he was stolen for fighting, and luckily not suitable, I say that for his sake, could you imagine what would have happened to him if he had put a fight up, the only kind thing I can say about the Scum is tha they returned him and did not just dump him somewhere....all the best for a quiet and peaceful life, so glad he is back with you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well his is very strange I hope the police was informed, not that a lot will be done but still you have it on record. Welcome home Harvey I do hope that you was not hurt to bad. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm sure the Police are doing all they can in the case of Harvey and other stolen dogs. The Crown Prosecution Service in England and the Procurator Fiscal in Scotland are the powers that decide who, when and if to press charges or them - not the Police. The Police just gather up all the evidence they can and go to the CPS or PF hoping for the nod. Hopefully this scum will make a mistake and get caught! We need tougher sentences for things like this. Thank goodness, they didn't hurt him. I personally think this is what's happening to a lot of our dogs. Why ho why are the Police not taking action on these terrible people that enjoy dog fighting. They must know who they are and where a lot of these fights take place. These are sub-human people who's enjoyment is to see suffering in the pursuit of gain. Just ghastly! Got rot their souls! Very best wishes and so please Harvey is home lots of TLC is called for. give him a hug from me! xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My thoughts exactly Corbiere. Just hope he isn't too traumatised by the whole experience. Hopefully a lot of tlc will put him back on the right track. May the scum bags who took him rot in hell.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Harvey is back-very weird circumstances as he went missing from a secure 6 foot fenced garden and has now reappeared in the garden ( when owners were out) But the gate was not left open for him-also he is in quite a bad way covered in bites and blood but no sign of any on fence or outside the garden-owner believes he has obviously been in a fight but is very suspicious as to the fact some one may have deliberately taken him-they are on the way to the vets.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
