How awful. I am so very sorry to see this about Poppy. My sympathy goes to Poppy`s family who ,must be distraught. It`s horrible when we lose a pet (We have all been there) but especially in such a tragic way. Nightie., night Poppy, sleep tight, and have fun at the bridge with the other "Rainbow Babies" who are waiting to play.
One day when the time is right, you will meet Poppy at the bridge. Forever together Maybe if you post Poppy on a Wall of Memory , it will help ease you pain. I believe there is one on here. Just a thought

Thanks for changing and adding her name Liz. Spent hours on this today / last night. So sad as not even sure the owners are going to contact vet who has her. I ended up calling a random business in the street she was chipped to and he knocked on the door for me to tell them about her. They hadn't responded to phone calls or a letter from the vets asking them to call about their girl. Broken hearted today.

So sad. Am currently checking through every Female Westie lost since about 2013 to see if 1) they are still missing 2) phone numbers are correct on their dogs chip. Also just spoken to the Vets who took in this poor girl and they were so helpful - going to call me back shortly with a little more info. Really hope we can find her owners. Poor girl.

Just seen on Facebook that the ormskirk dog is reunited so need to keep looking for this poor dog owner.
pixies peeps
AS it seems that kyle helped the elderly man by putting up posters in the ormskirk area maybe someone can see a poster up there with details of the owner hopefully.

This is the post reffered to below in full but it does say she is 12.............Driving down a country lane not far from Ormskirk and me and my boss get pulled over by a guy at the side of the road. He were about 80+ and had a load of paper in his hand. He repeatedly apologised for pulling his over but asked if we could reach across a puddle to pin a few pieces of paper on wooden poles. He were on his own, freezing cold with a thin cardigan on. So I told him to jump in the van to get warm while I pin them up.

He hands me them and jumps in the van. I look at the paper and it’s a missing poster for his dog. I literally stood there froze. I opened the door and spoke to him and he said he had been out since 5 am trying to put them up everywhere and look for his dog.

A little west highland white terrier (westie). She were 12 and was the only thing he had since his wife past away 3 years ago

Me and ste are currently spending our morning putting posters up for this guy while he goes home to look for the dog. So where ever you are little white dog, think you should go home as Billy has got search parties out looking for you pal! X

Just read the thread on the Kyle Reed thing - seems he saw an old man (80's) putting up posters in the Ormskirk area to help look for his missing Westie. Such a long thread and most confusing. If the found dog was chipped and the phone number out of date - could someone not just go to the address registered for the dog or appeal for the owners by name ?
