Mandy - agree with your suggestion but unfortunately not my decision to make. However, I can advise you that this dog was on the LCDH Stray dogs website for only a few days (did not serve statutory 7 days) so I assume reunited with owner.

I have previously asked via the contact us but got no response. In a situation like this can the website be changed to have a status of Unknown unless they definitely have been rehomed. People searching for a missing or stolen dog would not look at the status of reunited. Strays in the care of many pounds may well have been rehomed, are often PTS or collected but at least a potential owner would be able to search the Unknown posts and make enquiries
