BUD is still missing and is still greatly missed by my grandchildren. If anyone out there knows where Bud is, could they please please let us know. He is a wonderful and kind hearted dog who loves everybody and deserves to be with his family in his old age. Can everyone out there across the UK and even further afield please please keep a look out for this wonderful old man. Thanks Wilma Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Really sorry that you have met a dog warden with bad bedside manner, my own wardens are really approachable and lovely. I'm afraid not all wardens access Doglost but the numbers are growing amonst those that see Doglost as an invaluable way of trying to reunite missing dogs with their owners. Thanks for the information below regarding male staffi found, called the kennels who said that the dog had been reclaimed by owners, but suggested I called the local Dog Warden and they very kindly gave me the phone number. Called the dog warden and was very disappointed by the manner of the person who answered the telephone. Was told that as Bud disappeared two years ago and if they had found him he would have been rehomed by now and that there was no way we could get him back. Does the dog wardens when they pick up lost dogs not check Dogs Lost/Battersea Dogs home websites etc. The reply above is not the first one of a similar nature from Dog Wardens. By the way BUD IS STILL MISSING AND IS GREATLY MISSED. If anyone out there has any information about BUD good or bad please let us know as a conclusion would be greatly appreciated WilmaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

because of his age you should try www.oldies.org they help older rescue dogs if perchance he's gone down that route. You should also contact your local Highways Agency in case of any accidents involving dogs - this is a last resort obviously as I'm sure that Bud will be in some ones house being looked after close by. Hurry home Bud you look like a beautiful gentleman to me & I know how much my children miss Jester too. take Care Nikki xxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Wilma, Do you have any rough estates around your way? Any Gypsy sites? I think you need to run out a still missing poster, and place this around the area again! This might jog someones memory! Also if whoever has him knows you are still looking, you never know you might hear something more positive, especially if you make the dog hot! Also maybe trying your local sorting office, and the posties! Local papers, milkmen, dustmen, and the local rescue centres. Maybe send posters to the them all again and tell them what has happened, he may have been picked up and bought in to a rescue centre, and as he wasn't chipped re-homed! Maybe try local train stations, schools and parks?!! Hope this helps and Bud is in blue soon!! If you need any help sending posters out i can always print and post, but i am too far away to poster physically! I think starting up the process again could lead to some good leads!! GOOD LUCK XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A great big thanks to everyone who has taken the time to send messages on Bud, it means a great deal to us all, especially my daughter and grandchildren who's dog Bud is. Bud went missing from the garden of his home in Farnham Royal in Buckinghamshire during the afternoon of the 06March. This is totally out of character with him as he always used to lie in the garden and in the 9 years my daughter had him he never wandered off. Unfortunately it was my daughters husband who Bud was with that afternoon and when he noticed he was not in the garden, he thought my daughter had come back to the house and the dog had gone off with her, so there was a delay of approx 6-7 hours before Bud was actually reported as missing. Bud is a very chunky Staffy with a big head and was not neutered. My daughter did search the local area and even further afield, putting up posters and did have a few possible sightings, but unfortunately they were not Bud. If this dog is found or you suspect you know of someone who has him please let us know, as there are a couple of things Bud will do on command, and only those who actually own him will know that these commands are. We are not interested in prosecuting, only getting this much loved pet back. A great big thank you to everyone Wilma Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There are 2 brindle dogs (without pictures) in the found section, 1 found near Alperton with a black collar described as very skinny was found on 13/09/05 number to call is 07908631984. Also 1 found near loftus? on 15/06/05, though this one is microchipped - as Bud's been missing so long it is possible that a rescue took him in originally and m/c'd him, number for that is 01642 271412. You've probably already checked them over, but if not, it's worth a try. Hope Bud comes home soon, Jo xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
