I have bumped this one to top of list. It's a long shot after all this time and Gypsy is quite a common name for lurchers, but you never know. The email given is for lurcherlink who originally put this on. The phone number is mine, as none was given and the site form now asks for one.

Hello,
long shot I know, but, we've had a female Lurcher/greyhound called Gypsy turn up in Winchester. I've had messages on both of my dogs facebook pages.
The original post had no photo but arrived on Barney's page http://www.facebook.com/BarneyDiggers?ref=hl
which said "Barney and Buddy-the Muddy - I need your help. you dont know of a lovely lady called gypsy that may have gone missing from her home do you? we have her here in winchester and she is just fine - but she is missing her sofa :( she is white with tan bits and a greyhound lurcher. she is very pretty! if you could share with all your friends that would be wonderful as I would like to try and find her home before the dog warden comes for her on monday! i will get a photo soon. thank you x"
Now we have some photos on Buddy's page.

I've tagged everyone I can think of to the photos. And have shared on Facebook groups. The lady who has found her is adding her to doglost and alfies. xx

It is Selby Game Fair at Carlton Towers this weekend - 21/22/23/24 March - very popular with lots of dog people from a wide area - it must be worth getting some posters there or a stand with all the missing dogs on or something. Doglost admin may be able to advise best approach. Got these contact details of a flyer through our door. It is a SGF Ltd Organised Event - Tel: 01205 871354 / Mobile 07970 489605. For Trader Booking please visit their website - www.selbygamefair.co.uk. Am absolutely snowed under at work this week and have printer probs but would be available Fri am (good Friday) if any help needed to hand out flyers/posters at the event. Sorry Gypsy hasn't been found yet. Could you team up with the other dog owners in the Leeds area to get some publicity? Apparently Look North and Radio Leeds are showing some interest about the amount of dogs going missing in the Leeds area! Their information is on page 3 on the Dog Lost sight. LS17 and LS25!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
