Great news So pleased. I would keep Zed in n ow for a few days in case he goes awol again. Someone have most probably been feeding him if he is in good shape. The feeders may be away, and he has comne home for food. This is very common with cats. Stay close now Zed:-)

Hi, many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where the vehicle went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. A local cat got into a van and jumped out at a care home a couple of miles away after medications were delivered there. A friend noticed a poster on their gates and told the cat's owners. He had been regularly fed by the care home people and they were actively looking for his family. Really hope your cat comes home soon, thinking of you

If Zed has been sighted, then someone is feeding him. Empty contents of the hoover onto he garden as his scent will be there. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot of hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent om your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden, Try a squeaky toy, as it may attract his attention. Walk around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Unless the sighted cat was a lookalike cat, it would seem that Zed IS being fed by someone else. (Very common problem) Sometimes people think they are feeding strays, and in most cases the cat has an owner. As Zed has been sighted I would hire a cat trap from Cat Protection or animal rescue centre, and set the trap in your garden with his scent inside; your too. I would`nt put any food in at this stage because of other cats, and wipe his scent from where he has been sighted up to your garden. If you manage to trao him, I would then keep him in for at least a week to ten days, or he may go awol again. I would then try to find out who is feeding your cat, and in a polite manner ask them not to. Paws xd

I am going off on a tangent here but I know an elderly lady who had a cat neutered. thinking it was a stray. It was`nt, it was actually owned by sonmeone, who was not too happy, so I had a word with the owner, and told her that the lady really did think the cat was a stray, and only had the cat`s best interest at heart (The cat had had 13 kittens (3 pregnancies) prior to being neutered The cat was later rehomed vi a rescue centre, as the owner is away a lot, and thought it was best for the cat.. Al is well that ends well:-) Last edited: 2018-02-20 21:01:25
