- Indoor cats who "Escape" usually hide not too far from their own home. Anmd they will feel very scared, and anxious being out of their comfort zone which is indoors with people they trust; their owners. The door he has access to , open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block his entrance) Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the door. Rattle some /Dreamies too Put his unwashed blenket a few yards from the open door if dry. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. When checking outbuildings make sure he isn`t hiding behind or in an object within, as some cats can keeo very still, and quiet, especially if timid. When it is nightfall, and you are serching use a strong torch as the liglt will reflect a cats eyes, and use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent. Poister around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Someone may be feeding him (Common problem_ Ask around too, especially those with children as they can be very observant. Keep walking around the area with an object with his scent on, and rattle some treats. Paws xd.Last edited: 2018-02-23 20:59:57
