- Bless him. I think it's time for lead only walks for Meopham's answer to the Littlest Hobo.

- Is he reunited, as owner has commented that he went missing today, todays date?
- 2018-03-19 19:41 Nina
- I think the problem is that the first date he was registered is still showing the 26th FEb. He was found but went missing again on the 17th March. Hopefully as he in the blue it means that he is home nowLast edited: 2018-03-19 19:56:05 by Nina

- Unfortunately, having been found two weeks ago and made a full recovery after his recent disappearance, Eddie (hairy hairless Chinese Crested, wearing a red chequered coat) has disappeared again. He ran off with his brother after a squirrel in the woods. His brother came back soon after but Eddie didn't come back despite us staying there for an hour and calling for him. He was last seen in Knowles Wood, a little to the east of Comority Road, Vigo (on the edge of Trossley Country Park) and directly south of the crossroads between White Horse Road and Harvel Road. He ran off towards the west (towards the postcode DA13 0TB). Please share so that we can find him again! It's now clear that he always needs to be on a lead. He's been fine without a lead for several years but he seems to have either lost all sense of direction or acquired a taste for living in the wild!

- Owners update :) Thanks everyone, what a great day! Lynne, the yard manager at Coomb Hill Farm, called me late morning to say she'd spotted Eddie this morning (looking reasonably well and mobile and still wearing his coat) near a large pile of timber logs on Luxon Rd (just north of the junction with Leywood Rd). When I arrived, she was patrolling the area with Jenny and I set off into the woodland with Charlie (Eddie's brother), while calling for Eddie. I passed an abandoned kennel, which might be where Eddie had sheltered. About five minutes deep into the woodland, Eddie appeared me meekly from behind. I carried him back to the road, where he devoured some food that Lynne had thoughtfully put out for him. He wasn't in a terrible state but was shivering from the cold and seemed quite weak -he didn't even have the strength to jump into the car. As he was last seen near Leywood Cottage, he had obviously stayed in the area. A really tough and determined little dog to survive sub-zero temperatures (and foxes?) for eight days (he was lost at around 2pm on Sunday 25 February). After a good meal and the longest sleep he's ever had, he is getting back to his old self, growling at dogs on the telly and asking to be picked up. He has acquired an amazing backstory that would put Bear Grylls to shame and certainly deserves a nickname ... Eddie the Eagle or "Eight Days" Eddie are two early contenders. Thanks again to everyone for sharing the appeal and searching and for all the advice and encouragement!

- This dog was seen on Leywood Road yesterday but could not be caught. The owner needs to go onto the FB page Meopham Village Not Town. If not a member you will need to ask to join.
