Hi guys, though neither of those dogs are Jet, we have adopted the Rottweiler on the Cliffe Kennels site, she looks and acts exactly like Jet! We are still hopeful that Jet will come back but at least a dog has got a new home from this :)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There's be no news through Rottie Rescue I Fund Raise for & nothing come through kennels. Makes me think some one has decided to keep her-without bothering to check that she's actually missing. PLEASE keep in daily contact with kennels and police.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well Im working tomorrow and friday but have bought some plastic pouches and on Saturday will poster around. I find it useful having a rottie myself as when people stop me I can mention Jet too them and have found that quite a few pass the info on. Have you put a poster in the post office at the lane top yet? That might be advisable as I've often see missing posters there. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Updated smaller posters now on info centre for you. Come on Jet !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good to see you on board. To get the smaller posters- clink on the word 'info centre' just above the logo for Dolly's Directive. I tend to buy the plastic pouches from Poundland if you haven't a laminator- it's cheaper & quicker. Attach with cheap sellotape. This maks them waterproof. i've postered lampposts, bustops, bridlepaths & allsorts befor & had no problems with councils. Rottie rescues are aware & I'll make sure she's x. posted onto the rescue sites I know. Fingers crossed she'll be home soon. Just in case- please check any nearby railway lines & report her to railway people & check around any local watering holes. Poster your usual walk & any places that people are used to seeing her. Any dog training classess nearby, kennels, police- ring them daily. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We used to live on Lindsay Avenue too when Jet was a pup! We hope she returns too though I am unsure of the legalities of putting posters in those places I have never seen them there before so I'm thinking its probably frowned upon? Thanks for all your efforts! Also thanks for updating the poster!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Of course I can completely understand. I actually live on Lindsay Avenue. I have a 13 month old rottie bitch and the reason im so curious is around a month or 2 ago I was walking up Elm lane when a couple stopped me. The man had oblivously been drinking and asked to buy my rottie Hunni from me. I said she wasn't for sale and continued to walk up towards the fire station and he followed me a way telling me how much he loved the breed. Luckily I was able to go into my friends house just a few houses away and the man disappeared but I can't help but wonder if this could be at all related. I hope that Jet finds her way home as soon as possible as shes such a pretty dog and I have a secret love for rotties. Also is anyone aware of the rules for postering am I allowed to poster bus shelters and lamposts? never really been this involved before and don't want to get into trouble with the authorities!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, basically the high winds a few weeks ago blew our fence over and she and my other dog got out and roamed around. Our third dog stayed put as he is more worldly and probably felt no need to go. We found the other as he is pretty old and doesn't move too fast, but Jet was nowhere to be seen. As she is a young Rottweiler she is more appealing to the scum around the area then a 13 year old mutt so we think she may have been either taken into a house or picked up in a car and taken away. The house is on Rokeby Road in Parsons Cross so this is where she has gone missing from. Even though it says there is no reward I would be willing to offer one to whoever can lead to her return, and I would of course be extremely grateful. Thanks for all your efforts so far.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Joe, can you shed some light on what area Jet went missing in? she looks like a lovely girl and i've passed her details on to my rotties breeder who is well known in the breed clubs and has a lot of contacts. I've also been looking on epupz daily as I dont trust the sellers completely on there. lets get Jet home as soon as possible!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks hopethishelps & Viktylou, as many posters as able to means more people are aware. Phantomtek- good to see you logged in. Dont forget to ring the poice, dogwardens and kennels daily. Local rottie rescue already aware- dont forget council pounds as well. The more places made aware of her disappearance the better. Fingers crossed she will be back home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tried calling owner yesterday but no answer. Not sure where the rottie went missing but yesterday I took my girls to longley park stopped a few people and I gave them (or showed them) posters of Jet. Now cant seem to find the smaller posters on info centre but printed larger ones out. Also stopped a lady with a couple of labs (black labs) who took some posters and said she would inform all her friends. Planning on a walk at concord park later today so will give posters out and as a close friend works at the golf club pub have asked her to be vigilant for any rotties in the area (once or twice people have tried to sell dogs in this pub) Come on Jet lets get you home soon!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ViktyLou, thanks for offering to help with the postering and great you live in the area. There are smaller posters on the Info Centre (left hand side just above Dolly's Directive log) these are ideal for handing out, if anyone stops you at least you will have posters to show them. Do give Jet's owner a call sure he will appreciate it. Good luck. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, he is trying to register but his email is not set up properly yet. Discussed how to get a photo to DL, hopefully should recieve one soon by mobile phone. Only lived in the area for a few weeks. The right authorities have been notified and posters have been getting displayed. There has been two possible sightings within the area and owner feels someone has taken her in. Will update shortly when get more information. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
