Thanks for the update and great to hear you have had a sighting of Norman, but what a shame he wouldn't let the DW catch him. Get as many posters up as possible around the area tomorrow (as I am sure you have planned to do!) so everyones on the look out - although hopefully your husband may find him before then. There are several pubs around Writtle so worth notifying them and I am sure you will know also being a fellow horse person, that there are loads of stables near Writtle too so worth giving as many of them a poster as possible and alerting the college. Stay safe boy. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Norman ran off from Harlow Common as he was being loaded into the van to go home after his walk. Owner had a call later that evening from Epping Police after they had been notified of a grey lurcher dog by the Four Wantz roundabout in Ongar but unfortunatly they couldn't catch him. Owner went straight down there and walked the area for some time but no sign of Norman. Owner has done a great job in contacting all the relevant places - police, DWs, kennels, vets etc as well as postering the area incl shops, petrol stations etc. Norman is a large dog, about greyhound size, scruffy grey hair with a small bit of white on his chest (bit like a minature Wolfhound in appearance). Microchip company have been informed he is missing. Have told owner about Chelsea also missing from Harlow (and very nearby) so owners can combine forces and cover more ground. Stay safe Norman. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
