Oh no! this is terrible news. I am so very sorry for the loss of, Shadow. M y thoughts, and prayers are with his family. Nightie, night Shadow, sleep tight, and have fun at the bridge with the other "Rainbow babies" who are waiting to play. RIP+ God Bless x A~~~Candle~~~burns for you Shadow (HUG) One day when the time is right, you will meet your boy st the bridge, and he will lead the way. Forever together. Shadow's body has now been recovered by his owners so they will now be able to say goodbye to him. A very sad outcome but at least if he died during the heart attack before falling then at least he would not have suffered drowning. RIP Shadow, my condolences go to his family. X

From Facebook: Latest update from OP Emma just before 7pm 13/3:
"***** we still haven’t found him. The family have an idea where we believe he may be. However it isn’t safe for us to search and we certainly wouldn’t let anyone else go into the water there as it’s incredibly dangerous and deep. For now we have to wait for the water to go down as low as possible and maybe in the next few days his body may surface. Thank you to everyone who has helped and given us your time. We are heartbroken as a family but it seems we have done all we can. Once again thank you."

Appeal from shared post on Plymouth (UK ) pets lost & found:
"DOES ANYONE HAVE A LARGE BOAT BUOY THE SORT THAT GETS TIED TO THE SIDE OF BOATS THAT WE COULD USE TO SEND DOWN THE RIVER PLEASE. You may not get it back. The family intend buying one if we can't get one off of someone that doesn't have another use for it."
