This dog was abandoned on Capel Crescent Pillgwenlly, Newport, by the nursery. Does anyone knows whose dog this is?
He has been collected by the police and taken to Summerhill Vets. Thank you to the group of residents who helped him also to the 2 officers who carefully put him in their van. People were openly crying at the state of this poor lad. He didn't get like that overnight, so someone left him to suffer appallingly before discarding him like an old shoe. Even though he was obviously in a lot of pain, and hungry he was still very trusting to the people who were helping him. I really hope whoever it is gets the punishment they so richly deserve.
UPDATE
I have phoned Summerhill and he is resting, warm and calm. They are going to treat his skin problem and his emaciation. I was unable to get any more information than that, but he is safe and warm.
UPDATE
Regarding earlier update - he is still at Summerhill, the RSPCA have been informed, he is now being treated with intravenous antibiotics to clear up his infected skin and he is comfortable.
UPDATE
Summerhill has had a lot of offers for donations to help with his care and treatment.

Hope she is caught! Sure she has been in more than a few car chases!
Even though have exploded in popularity there are still low numbers of Bordeaux's around (I haven't seen antoehr than me in my area), which for other lost/stolen cases's hould make it easier to spot.

Funny how many people know what a Fenehch Mastiff is, but not what a Dogue de Bordeaux is :)

Owner says their puppy was never found.  They knew who took her, a woman who pretended to be a buyer and just drove off with the pup.  She had apparently taken a Bulldog from someone else in the same way.  She came from Scotland and the police were onto her, but eventually told owners that they were not pursuing the case.  Great!  I've told her about the found one in the Suffolk kennels and she will tell other people she knows who have DdBs. For reference, the kennels are West End Kennels, Buxhall tel: 01449 737641Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

People like this have no conscience or indeed self-respect, let alone respect for others and respect for animals is way down the list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is awful, how can people do these things?, I am constantly being approached when I am out with my Bordeaux, "what kind of dog is he"? "how much do they go for"? "where did you get him"?, its scarey as you don't really know why, are they genuinely interested or is there another motive?, do these peolpe have NO conscience at all? I hope this baby is found soon, hurry home little one xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is identical to lost red and white Bulldog Bitch in Scotland (G1) on this site......is it worth trying to get some press coverage or police liaison?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Puppy was stolen by fraudulent buyer. Please look out for this young woman 20-30 age group/slim. Blonde hair - could be a wig -wearing white coat with fur collar. Scottish accent & well spoken. SEEMED RESPECTABLE. Bought flowers for the lady of the house, and then disappeared with the puppy. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
