This Cocker Spaniel was found near Melsonby this morning. The microchip details are incorrect.

Richmondshire District Council the dog found is an english springer spaniel ? i dont think its a cocker at all

Met up with Steve SAR drone pilot on Thursday afternoon. No joy in immediate area but hope to meet Monday tomove into quarries.
Foot search wise the waterways have been checked and a drain is of concern but unable to check with waters soo high Showed owners. We will keep it in mind. Posters are vets sable on entry points to this quarry area. I’ve walked about 8 hours soo far 😩 need to get my thinking hat on.

Sorry I haven’t updated where I am and what I’m upto on Riley’s search. This location is only 6/7 mins drive from me and with the other two loose spaniels I busy meeting walking and thinking.
For Riley I have an area of interest I need assistance with today in the quarry. I can report later. The drone pilot with thermal arrived yesterday but alas our dry day proved too windy to fly😩. The only souls in the quarry whilst I was there were a soul dog walker and 3/4 blokes collecting wood. These were deff guys from the travelling community. I made polite chi chat but I doubt they would have been here a few days back to do what they were doing !
I have received extra checks hot images from carmen to create a reward based poster for him today.

No news today, we were hoping that once the bank holiday was over the owners would get a call to say Riley had been handed to the dog warden but this obviously hasn't happened.
Due to the close proximity to missing Eric and Ernie it is looking more likely that there is opportunist thefts in the area so please keep a very close eye on all dogs and if kennelled these must be secure and alarmed.

Did a small late night shout/whistle at the quarry entrance to try hear Riley if stuck.
I have asked for drone assistance if weather perks up and have David arlett on standby. This is within a mile of two spaniels Eric and Ernie missing from home. Keeping an open mind as bank holiday and Warden services closed and vets. So searching ground today incase stuck
