There has never been any word of Bess. Owner is still very upset, but is very grateful to Doglost for all the help and support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is there any more news? It is possible she came out of the hole and has been picked up by someone. A long shot, but still possible. Thinking of you xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You can also stick them in a poly pocket but put the open end on the down side. Come on Bess. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you got a laminator machine, or access to one? That helps to keep the posters legible for ages. The posters I put up when my dog was missing were laminated from a friend's machine, and they were still readable over a month later. The Seaton park attendant is a bit of a misery, so it wouldnt surprise me if he were taking down any posters in the park. Put them at the entranceways. What about St Machar Cathedral? People will go there to church and for sightseeing visits, and then take a stroll in nearby park. Good Luck. Try and stay positive. I know its hard... Ive been there. God Bless xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Laura. I am thinking someone has taken down your posters, or they have blown away! We'll need to get more up in the park, Uni and Halls. I was in the park today and walked all round the paths, and off them, that are on the Hillhead Halls boundary with my two dogs. We didn't see or hear anything. I am crossing my fingers that she is safe wherever she is.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you find the landowner, maybe there is a gamekeeper who will give you a hand. Also the RSPCA may have heat-sensing equipment and listening sensors so you could try to dog her out if she can be located. Hope she hasn't gone down a badger sett, it always terrifies my walking terriers near those!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You never know, miracles can happen sometimes. Bess was doing something she enjoyed whatever the outcome. God bless her wherever she is. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The Inverurie dog warden told me about a jack russell that got down a hol, and popped up again after abt 10 days. In the meantime she had given birth to pups. Was well enough to take her owners back to the hole, and then they got the pups out too! Amazing happiness can come of desperate situations . I will be in Aberdeen on Friday, so I will keep a lookout.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have sent private detailed messages to Jayne and Sable. The Fell Terrier Club have been extremely helpful. Their contact in Ayrshire spoke with me last night and he has told me to hang on to his number should I ever need any assistance again. I have another Jack Russell and a patterdale and I will not be letting either of them out of my sight. Thank you to everyone for their support and kindness. XXXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have contacted everyone, and put posters out everywhere. I am grateful for ANY info and will reward anyone...even drug dealers for her return.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is always a chance! I'm sure you've postered Hillhead Halls and informed the Police and Murrays Cat&Dog home. I will walk past there tomorrow and see what my boys pick up, they are VERY nosey so investigate the slightest sound and smell. I'm slightly more confident now that I know you lost her on higher ground, as you will know that Seaton Park is a flood plain during winter. After I have a wander in the park I will post on here if I find anything. I will say this, Seaton Park is a hotspot for drug dealing after dark, it is possible, if she escaped from the rabbit hole that she has been picked up and taken home by someone. So make sure all the vets in the area know the story too!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bess is our dog, she went down a rabbithole right next to the walled garden, close to the steps that led to Hillhead. Is there any chance that she could still be alive?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's my local park and I have seen the owner's posters. I have two black miniature poodles, if there are any locals on ) I will be going there tomorrow with them and will keep a look out. Can we find out specifically where in the park the dog went down, as my dogs have never seen rabbits there before and it could be because we are on the wrong side of the park. I stick to the path alongside Don Street generally.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Little monkey, I hear so often JR stuck down rabbit warren. It takes about two weeks to lose weight enough to back out. Heres hoping she is out soon and home in the warm. Stay safe little Bess.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
