Caroline has just returned my call. She thought the dog was Ellie but after talking to the finder she now knows it isn't. Ellie has some black markings on her back and tail. I have asked if she could get another picture to us showing the markings. Also given her lots of advice on postering. It's been six months but Caroline is not going to give up looking for her beautiful dog.

Someone just called me re GSD Bitch found in Romford last couple of days. I haven't seen her but from what they tell me age and colourings seem a good possible. Have contacted Ellie's owner and she is going to have a look today. Really hope this is Ellie.x

Well done Romford Recorder for running the article, hopefully it will bring in some calls and lead to getting Ellie home. No news from Caroline at present, she and friends have been postering the area but have had no calls or sightings. Ellie is such a distinctive girl, someone must have seen her. Caroline is very grateful for all the help, and is of course desperate to get Ellie home.

Carly, thanks for that info, as Caroline says is this the dog from Barnet Lane that you are referring to? If the dog warden manages to catch the dog and you can get a photo sent in to us that would be fantastic as if its not Ellie it may be one of the others....you never know! Caroline, if someone has got Ellie you really need to make her too hot to handle.....poster poster poster and spread the word as far as you can. If someone has her, they cannot keep her hidden for ever and sooner of later a neighbour/friend etc will see the dog, see a poster and hopefully make that all important call. Have you tried getting the local paper to run an appeal with a photo or the local radio as that may bring in some sightings. Come on Ellie......time to come home girl. x

I have contacted the local dog warden and Im waiting for a call back. Im hoping to show the warden where the dog tends to settle and hopefully she will be able to set a dog trap and catch this dog.

I originally reported this dog in this area. Same dog is STILL IN THE AREA although I am unsure if it is a white shepherd - other wintnesses seem to think it is. Spotted yesterday AM & then also PM. Am stopping once a day and leaving food as it seems to have a certain area it settles in for the night. Owner already has my mobile. Maybe time to get onto RSPCA about setting a dog trap?

The man down elstree has not got back to me as when i spoke to him on saturday he said he wanted to dog himself if he could get near it but he did say to me he would send a picture if he got a close up on hes phone to send me but he has'nt got back to me and also monday morning i put more photos out of ellie on the entrance of central park , the manor , bedfords park and the cafe window also straight road farrenden avenue on bustops and still no luck . Have you heard anymore from the man that you spoke to when you went up to investigate the Borehamwood dog Caroline? Has he seen the dog again and been able to take any photos? I think you still need to get loads of posters up locally as she could still be in the area local to where she went missing from. Someone will have seen her I am sure. x

I have spoken to the lady who sighted the GSD (or poss GSDx) in Harpenden. Don't think its Ellie I'm afraid....the lady said the dog was totally cream/white, and looked fairly elderly from the state of its teeth. Thanks anyway, it is always worth checking out any such possibility. x

A white GSD with matted coat and red collar spotted loose in Harpenden. Don't know if this is too far away from you to be Ellie, also doesn't mention black patches in coat, might might be worth a look though - see today's found page.

GEMINISTAR0710 I think you may be right she may well be in that park, caroline I would keep going to that park with some of you cloths with scent on it, and go early morning and just before dark, also if there is any house near by put posters in there door she may even be hiding in there garden or in a shed or outbuilding.

just got home,dont think it was ellie, it sems to be short haired, but same colour thats why i went,very dissapointed, but never thought she was that far away,it was in barnet lane where a lady reported her yesterday under found dogs on this site.but met a young bloke who lives nearby and said he sees her early in the morning, but cant get near her and a young dog he said so , two peoplle have spotted the same dog in barnet lane. next 2 a compost place. he said he would e mail me pic when he can get close up 2 her. but the pic he had on his phone didnt look like ellie.but same colour. so sad i will keep looking and thank u all so so much. she also stands out well so hope u can help me plzz there is a reward. so im going two keep preying.x

Just spoken to Caroline who is on her way back from checking out the GSD sighted in Elstree/Borehamwood. The dog has been out for about 4 weeks and is going back to a similar area fairly regularly. The person who has seen the dog cannot get that close but has got a few photos so is going to send them over. Caroline is not sure that it is Ellie, possibly looks shorter haired and different size but once she has seen the photos on the PC a bit clearer and the person who sighted the loose dog is going to look at some more pics of Ellie we should know more. I am sure Caroline will update further once she arrives back home.

Hi Caroline glad you have registered and thanks for your post. Yes, the sighting of the dog in Elstree is worth following up. When you go over to look, please also bear in mind Chelsea, another GSD missing from Harlow area. She is on Doglost too, postcode CM17. If you are taking posters of Ellie, maybe you could also take some of Chelsea too. I know Chelsea's owner (also Caroline, just to confuse matters!) is looking out for Ellie on her travels as well. It make sense for owners to work together as you can cover double the ground. Hoping this sighting brings some positive news. x

Hi there - Gooshays Drive is where the Dog Training Hall is situated - pretty much used every day/night. There is a notice board out the front so would be worth putting one there and also in the hall.

This sighting of Chelsea could also be Ellie I have my fingers a paws crossed it is one or the other, she may also have gone to ground but she will show when wanting food, poster like mad also get posters in your neighbors doors has she may get in there garden and also sheds or outbuildings. try and also poster a bit further out to where she went missing as she could travel.

have postered all round central park ,my daughter saw her the night she escaped and we did look around for a few hours for her.but assumed she had been found as no reports from doglost or other site.wasnt until doglost alert came through that we realised she was still missing.

Ellie went missing from Turpin Avenue, Romford whilst owner was out. It is presumed she escaped but owner cannot be sure, all she knows is the gate was open when she got back and there was unfortunately no Ellie. When Ellie first went missing owner contacted Romford Police, the DW, RSPCA, Battersea and local vets. Have advised her to phone neighbouring Police and Dog Wardens and have given her some kennels to phone including Gemini which take the strays for Havering council. Ellie?s photo is on its way.....but she certainly sounds a distinctive pretty girl ? her face is white with a bit of tan on her ears, she has black on her back and tail along with white on her body. I am sure if someone has seen her they will remember her! If there are any local helpers out there ? please can you help with postering? We really need to cover the local area and jog people?s memories incase they have seen Ellie. Someone may have taken her in and be caring for her unaware she is desperately missed. Owner would be grateful for any help. Owner can also be contacted on 07964 934513, I will ask admin to add this to her poster as well. Owner will register on here so she can leave updates.
