Thanks Emily. Is there a dominant cat in the area? Only sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory, however the cat usually returns within a few days, when they feel it is "Safe" for them to do so, though sometimes they can become disorientated, and "LOST" Paws, and fingers xd for Pumpkins safe return xLast edited: 2018-04-22 13:45:33

Hi Jan, I really hope that is the problem but he's never really gone far from home as he gets nervous and his hearing isn't great. We have 4 houses on cedar road including mine that feed him and he's popular on the street so everyone's aware he's missing. I think he's been spooked or even taken to be honest but I'm still looking everyday.
Thanks you for your help

It may be that someone IS feeding Pumpkin. I know of a cat, not too long ago that was posted as MISSING, He was neutered. After people postered, put flyers through doors, and put him on Fb for sharing. (Walsall, West Mids.) SIX WEEKS later, the owner opened the door to go out, and there he was. He looked healthy, and well fed. I think what may happen in these instances is that the feeder has possibly moved to another area, or gone away on holiday, and the cat comes back for food. A friends cat does this; he goes awol for about three weeks, and then returns. He does this on a regular basis. So you never know. I think this is a common occurrence for cats to do, although my own cat is very "Home bound" Probably depends on the cat. Last edited: 2018-04-22 13:33:01

He has to be somewhere, Someone may feeding him, Just because you don`t see a cat doesn`t mean they aren`t around
Georgy Porgy
If there are bramble bushes around about check these out as his fluffy coat could get caught up in these.

Please look at my tips on this page. http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=127734

And try to stay positive, most cats come back. I know that is hard to do.

Sorry no sign of Pumpkin. As I suggested in my post 2018-4-21 I would consider posting an ad in a National newspaper, and may be a radio, and TV appeal, if possible.Last edited: 2018-04-21 18:54:57

Check all outbuildings., including empty houses, and cellars. ALWAYS take a SECOND LOOK as some cats will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid, even though their owners may be present. Put some tuna, or warm chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on all your garden fences, gates, doors; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding Pumpkin. (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and your are searching, use strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children as they can be very observant. When looking for Pumpkin, take with you an air freshener , which you use regularly, as it should remind him of his home comforts. Post a LOST CAT ad in National newspaper in case has has climbed into a vehicle. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL Hope Pumpkin is home very soon. He is gorgeous, and very photogenic:-). Paws xd for his safe return.
