Sorry I couldn't update sooner, my internet is playing up at home and can't get onto the web...grrrr. Well I got a very happy call last night from Devon's owners to say they had Devon back! They received a call from a lady who supposedly had found her in her garden yesterday. The owners had done a lot, got radio coverage, postered, set up a facebook page etc and owners feel that possibly it was a case of making Devon too hot to handle and she was returned - which is the important thing! Welcome home Devon! Owners would like to pass on their thanks for all the help and support received from Doglost and helpers, it was most appreciated. Owner is planning on doing a marathon in the summer (rather you than me Emma!) and said from the sponsorship she would make a donation to Doglost - thats fab and thank you! She will let me know when the marathon is coming up. Owner is also going to register as a helper so she can assist if any dogs go missing in her area in the future. Well done everyone and no more escaping Devon! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello Titannia! Yep, B&D strays were/are being taken to Bareham kennels in Orsett, 01375 891421 - Emma (owner), it would be worth you giving them a call in the morning. The 'kennels' at the Frizlands depot where B&D strays usually go is being refurbished so think this may be why going to Orsett - unless they have set up a new contract with them??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lost my connection Jot so our posts crossed! Was told by B&D today that local dogs are being taken to Bareham in Orsett??? Have a call in to them at the moment and will confirm. This girl is chipped so we have a better chance! Stay safe girl until we find you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Devon escaped from Orchard Road at 7pm last night. Owner has contacted local police and vets and has started to poster locally. Have advised to ring dog wardens, local kennels (incl Gemini who take strays for Havering), Battersea, RSPCA, PDSA and chip company which she will do. If anyone local can help to put posters up in the area that would be great. Owner is going to register so she can post update. Stay safe Devon. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Will speak to owners tonight and make them aware of Mikka and Nook and also Sapphire, SBT from Collier Row and Ellie the GSD as they are all local and would help if owners all joined forces allowing them to cover more ground. Come on Romford/B&D dogs.......get yourselves home, too many of you missing/stolen.....we need you ALL in the blue!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
