Any latest news on Sadie? We came so close on Saturday night to catching her on the canal bridge in pelsall. We briefly met sadies owners whilst they were searching for Sadie about midnight. We spent most of Sunday looking for her in the woods but didnt see her. Hope she is improving and we send her our best wishes.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Wonderful news that she is home, Hope everything keeps looking as good as it does now, Shelties are amazing resilient little dogs, She will be ok, I bet in a few weeks she will be racing around as if nothing has happened, No not an ideal way of losing weight but im sure you will be back to normal soon , your girls are home that is the main thing, So happy for you, Sukimax. xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for keeping us all updated, Shelties Mum. Positive healing thoughts coming your way each and every second, Sadie. As I look at my little sheltie girl, I can't begin to imagine what your mum and dad are going through. My thoughts are with you all. Carole xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from my breeder friend Sadie had her op this morning. The original xray didn't look promising with a "quality of life" decision being paramount when the vet operated. It appears to have gone better than hoped. She's apparently stood up & been to the loo (total incontinence was a worry). Marlene & Alan are very grateful for all the messages of support. Marlene has lost 9 pounds since last Monday with all the stress etc but wouldn't recommend it as a way of losing weight Sylv xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadie has been found badly injured. The following is what I've been told from a breeder friend Sadie has been found but is injured. A police woman found her late last night, (2 minutes walk from Saduie's house) She was taken to the police kennels straight away, the owners were called and took her to their own vets Not known if it's a back/spinal injury. She was also in severe shock obviously. We shall know more by tomorrow Sylv x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The little rascal. Isn't it typcal of shelties that they don't even respond to their owners when they're on the loose. Food has to be the bait hasn't it, maybe pilchards and scenting to draw her to where you want her to be? Praying for her early return Sylv xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Friday 7 March. We have definitely had positive sightings. We had been putting out posters and had a call to say she'd been seen not too far from home. We immediately dashed to the area and were literally within yards of her but she was too quick for us and ran across fields. We tracked her to where we thought she'd gone and saw her again. The area is Lime Lane, Pelsall nr the "Finger Post" MikeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is still no positive news. There have been a couple of reported sightings but nothing has come of them. We continue to spread the word with posters but we urgently need some more sightingsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a beautiful girl. So reminds me of my first sheltie. I can't believe more Shelties have gone on the run. Sadly, far to far away to help and no contacts in the area but sending positive thoughts for the safe and quick return of Sadie.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
