- Thanks Seeks for the update on Lily. I am a cat owner but have never scruffed, as I would be scared of hurting the cat. Have never had to do it, and wouldn`t know how to, if I`m honest As for Lily hanging out with the ferals., she was on holiday, and thought it was a cool thing to do lol! Pleased she is okay:-)xxx

- I got to put the record straight here lol Lilly did scratch but no too much bless her .... I think Sarah saw the blood and thought it was a lot but really she hardly touched me.
Janiejewel I got to say I very glad it wasn't caught on camera lol...I bit like a beached whale on the ground these days lol Having caught her I just held her in till someone passed a trap as I can't get back up to well lol xx
The good news is she is back to normal with her people again. She has been done for fleas, worms and motes as she was hanging out with some ferals.
She did get very scared and it was obvious she wan't going to let me pick her up so it was a scruff fast and hold BUT you know you have to get it right as you can not let go no matter what ;-) Scruff to low and they will sink their teeth in so I did feel a bit of pressure....Done it so many times though hence all the scars on my arms lol
She is a lovely cat she really did want to be caught ....I got a new respect for Dreaies to now lol..I got this need to test them on a real feral to lol lol xxLast edited: 2018-04-29 21:44:27 by Seeks - 2018-04-29 17:06 Millypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer

- From owner.........Oh my it was amazing! Sarah and Jo (local volunteers) had come over to start our night time patrols/vigil... we went up to the entrance of Piran Meadows and were just discussing where they had been seen the night before and action plan...when we heard something, so I walked over to the unit side of the entrance to PM, to walk down to the feral cat mans place... I whistled, and called her name and heard really loud meowing! I saw her! Called to the others that she was there, she ran across to the house at the entrance of PM... onto a fence then under a parked car...trying to coax her out, someone in cottage came out and shouted they were trying to get kids off to sleep! Lilly ran off... down to near feral johns onto a roof... threw little bits of kippers up to her, she was constantly meowing at me, she got some stories to tell that’s for sure! But she would only come as close as the edge of the roof... so I went to wall away and left Jon with her... she started to follow me up to the main road...I carried on walking trying to make her think I was walking away if she wasn’t coming to me... Sarah grabbed a bag of dreamies, sat on the floor on the road! And talking to her started throwing dreamies... closer, closer, closer... I walked off towards main road quietly ready to stop any traffic coming down and spooking her... all of a sudden
Sarah shouts she’s got her and they put her into a trap so she can’t escape! Lilly has gotten close enough for a fuss, Sarah fussed her a couple of times and then grabbed her! Sarah ended up scratched to bits but Lilly was caught 😍 xx - 2018-04-29 07:23 Unknown

- Good that Lily has been sighted. Walk around the Holiday Park, and wear the same deodorant you use on a regular basis, as she will recognize the scent. Place some scented items of Lily`s near the holiday home if you can (UNWASHED). Ask one or two holiday makers if they would be kind enough to tempt Lily with some food,, such as some tuna or warm chicken, which you could give them of course. Perhaps then they could entice her into their holiday home, making sure she cant get out, and contact you on your mobile to cone, and fetch her. Or.And you could borrow a cat trap from an animal rescue centre, or Cat Protection, and inside put some yummis, her scent, and yours. Place this by or near where she has been sighted.. She may be feeling a little disorientated, and will be pleased to see you. Hope Lily is home very soon. Paws xd.
