- Have spoken to owners, Milly originally ran off and then was found at 3pm in the river being attacked by swans when, as Jayne said, a kind lady went in and rescued her. Owners were put in touch with the lady via the Police connecting the lost and found reports. The lady had cleaned Milly up and took her to her local vets - Elmswood Vets in Hazeleigh. It was when the lady was putting her back into her car at the vets that Milly escaped. She was sighted on Chelmsford Rd, near vets at 5.30pm yesterday but ran off, as she is a very nervous little dog, into some fields. Owner, friends and family have done a terrific job - have alerted police, DW's, all local vets, have postered the area and have put flyers through every house in the village. Owner was out searching today from 6.30am - 1pm (only stopping coz of work!) - and whilst out managed to reuinte an escaped farmers dog - then at 2.10pm today got a call to say Milly had been seen opposite the vets. Family got there at 2.30pm but no sign of little Milly. They have and are at the moment searching the area. They have left some clothing in safe place near vets with scent of owner/Milly on and have also been out with Milly's pal 'Freddie' hoping the scent will bring her back to the vets area. Owner is sorting out a photo now he is home from work and will be sending that over. Also gave instructions for registering so can leave updates. They really are doing a stirling job so I hope they are rewarded and Milly is home very soon. Stay safe Milly. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Milly initially ran off from Chelmsford and was rescued from a river by a lady who took her to the vets where she made another bid for freedom.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
