- I only had laminated posters of India Rose kindly supplied by Whizz's mum, but I'll try to get one of my 3 printers going this weekend and do some flyers for when I go down again end of next week. I did put India Rose's poster - with Whizz's - in a few pubs, inc in Wilts where I went for a funeral on tuesday, also on the most conspicuous telegraph pole in Lambourn, right beside the cash machine in the wall of the Co-Op! which is used by everyone... Didn't manage to get over to Kingston Lisle/Oxon but will try to do that next weekendLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I really hope that you get you little girl back very soon, she is so beautiful. The other puppy that went missing at virtually the same time (collie I think), is now back home without a chip, so you stand a very good chance of getting your baby home soon. Wishing you all the very best of luck in finding India Rose (what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank you very much for creating the flyers, they are excellent I have printed some off. Any news from Lambourne? Was disturbed by someone telling me again about an email they recieved telling of dog thieves in the area specifically targetting Labradors and Spaniels, taking them out of peoples cars and out of their gardens! They have them out of the area and sold to order in no time. What hope have we got? I know I mustn't be pessamistic, you are all so possitive. Any decent person would have taken her to some " authoritory" who would have checked her for her chip by now, so its got to be someone devious. Saw one SO like India today in Fairford on the lead, my heart leapt but it was not her. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH EVERYONE, for all the hours of time you all put in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hello. Have noticed posters up (Tesco at Ciren). This isn't really very helpful but my husband and I were driving from our house at Castle Eaton a few weeks ago, turning right on to the Fairford Road. Whilst stationary at the junction we noticed this dog running around in the field opposite. We thought it was hunting so we carried on. We're pretty sure that it was the same dog as in the photo. We hope you find it soon... e mail from someone who saw the posters.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Will certainly help if I can though I think India Rose went missing rather far away. It would be a great help viz a viz the weekend if we could have a 'joint flyer' with any missing dogs within a radius of say 30 miles of Lambourn / Wantage - otherwise it might get complicated to hand stuff out! People do come to the Open Day from quite a distance - lots with their dogs! - but the P2P at Lockinge is more a local affair, tho there will be people from Berks, Wilts, Oxon and prob Gloucs thereLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Yes it must seem like looking for a needle in a haystack, and some of us have been where you are right now and know just how you are feeling. But the more eyes you have looking for that needle the better your chances will be of finding her. So postering is the way forward at the mo. I agree the chip being scanned would be wonderful, but lets get some posters up and make India Rose the best known Spaniel in the West in the meantime. As well as putting up hundreds of posters, send them to the vets in the area too and make sure they are aware of scanning for chips. Make sure she is in everyone's hearts and minds! Have a read of the Re-united page to lift your spirits when you get a spare moment...........check out Gemma a "lost" springer from Frome who ended up in Taunton on a traveller site 7 months later...............keep your chin up, she is out there somewhere.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank you SO much every one , you are all so kind, I am overwhelmed. Yesterday I didn't poster as I proposed, I searched more finely the hedges close to Latton and those backing on to the houses, nothing. I then wrote on the posters asking people if they could kindly look under bushes and in all forgotten corners of their gardens, and put them through the doors, (still Latton) I got a call almost immediately and went to look, but it didn't raise my hopes, it looked like a very large single (which is odd) badger sett. They like rabbits not badgers. If she hasn't been picked up by now she won't have survived. If she has been picked up, she must be stolen, surely any decent person would have taken her to check if she was chipped. Now she needs to escape and be repicked up by a good person. I feel this is like looking for a needle in a haystack, although I appreciate what you say, "you only need the right person to see the poster". Thank you so so much everyone. - Hi Searcher. Isn't there an RAF base or army base or something near Welford? I might be confusing it with another place called Welford (I know there's more than one because it's my maiden name!!) Just thought it might be an idea - if I've got the right one - to hand some posters in at the base, then there'd been hundreds more pairs of eyes looking out for her xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Stay positive that you will see her again - someone has probably picked her up, fallen in love with her and have not realised that you are searching for her! - Nice to see you on here Sercher and thank you for updating us with what you have been doing. The secret here will be postering.............literally hundreds of them everywhere! Laminate them if you can but you could always put them in plastic sleeves to protect them from the hideous rain we have been having. Don't forget places like library vans, car parks, milkmen and schools....places where people congregate. You only need the right person to see the photo. Don't rely on the chip in case it is not picked up on the scanner (or she isn't scanned) Please can someone who is helping make sure that IR is posted on to Spaniel Forums and Rescues in the local area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Steady there Reynard im spoken for!! Right , just got in, the roadworks at Blunsden have signs up with Highways Agency on, i assume this comes under Wilts county, I went to the stadium and postered as huge sunday market and c. boot. called in at the petrol/services on 419 by Cricklade, gave them a poster and met a man in roadwork clothes with mcalpine on his back, said he was working up at Blunsden,on the by pass, gave him a few posters and said he would spread the word. Posterd at Freeth recycling and into Cricklade at the paper shop and by a dog walking area North meadow. Then at the Watermark which is a gym/restaurant on outskirts of South Cerney. Reynard, It did cross my mind that the lake and gravel extraction is vast. Have the workers there been approached. I did check today but no one around.Wish I could have spent more time out there but we have a car boot today for our rescue dogs, thinking of you Indias folks, and wishing your little girl home very soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Owner has been looking hard for India Rose, she went walk about with her Mother the Mother came back but India Rose did not. There is a sheep fence that she probably could not get through so possible ran the entire length looking for a way out, as the A419 is very close could also have been pick up by a pasing car (although A419 is a dual carrageway and consequently a fast road so difficult for anyone to stop). Please could helpers put up posters along the A419 corridor and up in SWINDON and CIRENCESTER (and bits in between) at shops, vets etc that would be very much appreciated India Rose is very young to be out on her own THANKS.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Mine are obsessed with rabbit burrows which has resulted in me fighting my way through brambles to drag them out from the entrance! Please check these just incase. Hope you find India Rose safe and sound xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Was India wearing a collar when she went missing? If so, her owners should check she's not got caught up somewhere on it - i.e on bushes or a fence. We've had some really sad new on here today about Zak (blue roan cocker - Central) who got caught up by his collar. Come on India, get yourself home girl - it's far too cold out there xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
