- Sydneysmum - I register most of the found dogs for NE via Stray Aid and there are always photos provided by them. Checking back NE found dogs, the ones with missing photos have been registered by individuals. Hopefully, someone from NW will advise but the Animal Wardens will not provide photos. As far as I know the dogs registered are from a wide area and it is call centre type of place that is doing the registering and they dont see the dogs or have photos. I know Jan Majorjet is doing a lot of work with these dogs and trying to get photos when she can but she is a volunteer and works full-time. Hope this helps a little but we are doing our best.Last edited: 2018-05-30 21:41:13 by Sandra Watt

- Can someone please share with me - why
in recent months soooo many 'found' dogs in the N.E. & the N.W. are posted without photos?
(they also present VERY vague descriptions & often don't even list the sex).
Are they spring cleaning a new system or something? Or are the Dog Wardens & Vet staff so badly paid they can't stretch to a disposable camera? I'd donate if THAT were the case.
We all know how hard it is to find a lost dog without a picture.
I did consider 'new members of staff' having teething problems with the 'uploading procedure' - but WHY are they all in the N.E. & N.W of England.
A very upset dog owner in the N.W. contacted me recently after I sent her a possible match to her missing dog. There was no photo & the description was vague but something felt 'right' - as it turned out I was right. But getting her dog back was a nightmare - the powers that be couldn't find
her little girl. She is planning legal action.
Then this morning - another case exactly the same.
I don't understand - but I realy want to.

- Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
